セリナ ヴィラ ノバ(Selina Milfontes)

Almost didn’t go because of the reviews on TripAdvisor, but very happy I did. Really nice and laidback vibe. Travelers of all ages and from all places. All of the staff are truly kind and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. And I don’t recognize any of the experiences below when it comes to cleanliness of the room. Furniture is far from brand new and could use some TLC here and there but it’s really quite okay overall. Loved the kindness of all the staff members and manager. Enjoyed the vegan take on the breakfast en loved the food in the restaurant. Stayed for two nights, first night was a DJ and second night there was a Brazilian band playing. Recommend you to try this Selina! Thanks for a nice stay!

What a cool vibe this place has! Staff was great, accommodations are basic but clean and comfy, shared areas are cool including a wonderful roof top deck where we spent a few hours playing cards in the evening. Walkable to beaches, stores and dining. Parking on street but no issues. We would return for sure

Visited in Feb. Had a room close to the open rooftop, in summer when all guests will gather for a late drink, assumption has to be made that would be noise coming into your room from outside. Separate kitchen where you can cook your meal is a bonus. Will not recommend this hotel for families with kids as has vibe a of hippy/commune type of guests, unless this is your thing. Great location. Helpful staff and breakfast handmade by the kitchen stuff, but very tasty and you can fill yourself up.

We knew with a late booking that we would pay a premium for a family room but this value for money and basic hygiene was far below any basic expectations. We payed just under 300 euro for the room which had mold in the bed, squeaky beds, dirty shower with black around the edges, a fan that is covered in dust and dirt to name but a few. The Selina concept sounds great and might still be work in progress but the free breakfast we received in compensation didn’t really take the sour taste out of our mouths. We are not easily complaining but this was as other would classify “a total rip-off”. We were here last year for drinks and had much higher expectations, we won’t be back unfortunately.

Private rooms were in bad conditions for the price you pay. Horrible smell coming from the bathrooms, mold in the shower and flush broken and generally not clean. Several other people staying there reported the same issues in their rooms. Staff was well aware of all issues and pretended it was an isolated case and did nothing to solve it. No real community feeling since restaurant is private and caters mostly outside guests. I love the idea behind Selina but this location lacks seriously in executing it. Never coming back and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Great vibe, helpfull and sociable staff and a house manager who knows her stuff. When housecleaning made a mistake it was dealt with swiftly and compensated with a meal in the excellent new cheffed restaurant which serves up fresh healthy and balanced food

Posizione ottima, nel centro di Vila Nova de Milfontes. Nel complesso carino, ottima la cucina condivisa e il bagno in camera. L’ostello dispone anche di rooftop, sala cinema e jacuzzi. Consiglio di portare un lucchetto se nn volete lasciare le vostre cose nel cassetto.

Nous avons réservé cet hôtel en pleine saison plusieurs jours à l’avance. Tout a fonctionné du côté informatique et avons reçu une confirmation mail de notre réservation. En arrivant à la réception de l’hôtel, personne ne trouve notre réservation. Finalement, l’hôtel se rend compte que la chambre a été vendue plusieurs fois et que l’hôtel est plein. On nous fait patienter en espérant qu’une solution soit proposée par la réception. On nous dit que c’est la pleine saison et tout est plein dans la ville. Ils font des recherches sur Google pour trouver un hébergement à notre place mais ça aussi on sait faire. Le personnel est très gentil mais vraiment pas à la hauteur du problème. Finalement c’est nous meme en nous rendant à pied dans le village qui avons trouvé un hôtel à 150 mètres du premier où on ne nous a rien trouvé prétextant que tout était plein dans la ville.
