The hotel was centrally located and the rooms were small but clean. We had to leave the hotel every morning before breakfast (they start serving at 0800). However the staff allowed us to get a cup of coffee and some cold food before we left. My biggest complaint is two-fold. The minor issue first-our in room instant coffee and cups were not replenished (I’m sure we could have gotten more if we asked). But the major complaint was the water pressure. We felt lucky to get the soap rinsed off in the shower. And because of the low water pressure, toilet paper was difficult to flush. When we addressed this with the staff, not much was said but we left with the impression that some type of low flow regulator had been installed. For the water pressure alone, we would not return.
The hotel is conveniently located near beach and town centre. Very clean and well run. Room was good and cleaned every day. Pool area good too. Breakfast was fresh and well stocked. The breakfast staff were amazing- as the weekend was a bank holiday- they ran round like whirling dervishes restocking the food, cleaning tables etc. Reception staff helpful too. One point- no bottle of water in the fridge on arrival- I expect that after a long journey. Yes I’d recommend it
We are just nearing the end of our 10 day stay here, we have had a wonderful holiday, yes its 90% german citizens here and TUI should probably make that clearer when booking but part of me is glad they didnt as it may have made me book somewhere else, i have attended fitness classes in german but the staff made every effort to explain things to me in english and i enjoyed them just as much, my husband joined the tennis tournament and he had a great time, the german people he played with all spoke good english and they were laughing and joking together, my kids made some good friends too. The silent disco was wondeful having 3 channels on the headset, german, english and house music, it was so much fun. The bands and robins singers in the evening have been great. I havent struggled to get a table in the evening, in fact we have got the same table every night and our waiters have been wonderful. The food is world class and fresh. I was dubious about coming all inclusive as we normally go on villa holidays, but we have had the best time and wish we could stay longer. This is definately a 5 star resort, if you are booking just go with the flow their isnt really a language barrrier if you just put in the effort to speak to people. Thank you Robinsons we have made some great memories ❤️♀️️
Very dated hotel but very clean. Not a lot of atmosphere for us, and staff although present were not friendly or inviting in any way. We were BB and the breakfast Buffett was very good. Lots of choice from cooked bacon, eggs, sausage and eggs to fantastic fruit, yoghurts, pastries and fresh bread and toast. We had lunch one day at pool bar, tuna salad for 2, very nice. The resort was very quiet, lots of bars and restaurants closed, even though our tour operators stayed open until end of October! We ate out most evenings but food repetitive, although some we would recommend. Tip we paid extra for Davies, it was worth it. Beach fantastic with a full wood walkway. Down size not much to do in MG, we visited Villa Real and took ferry to Spain, also walked to a town near by and got Uber back to MG only £4. Sorry won’t be back but enjoyed the break away.
Basic hotel, rooms nice and clean, bed made every day. Staff not particularly friendly, food basic and boring went out most days. Pretty central for what we wanted, it was a place to sleep. Beach only about 5/10 minute walk which is beautiful.
It was fabulous! Our rooms were cleaned everyday with amazing care and skill. The receptionist was always there to help us, spoke amazing English and was extremely kind and inviting! Our breakfast was so tasty ! Best scrambled eggs I’ve ever had in my life. It’s incredibly close to the beach and to bars, shops and restaurants. Both pools were beautiful and incredibly inviting! Would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone as was best holiday I’ve ever been on and would easily be back! Also the night sky was gorgeous, low light pollution and so many shooting stars. It was all a dream come true! Thank you so much to all the staff.
ゲゲストHotel was very close to the beach with bars and shops within easy distance. A lovely decorated foyer area with good helpful staff. Room was adequate but not large. A small balcony overlooked the road and a side view to the beach. beds were good and the only down side was there were no hot drink making faciklities. It had 2 lifts, one of which was out of action for our stay, this wasnt really an isue as the hotel didnt seem that busy, nut could be a bigger problem when it was. Room was attended to and beds made every day. I thought the restaurant was lovely well set out and not to busy, although it was just out of season. The restaurant staff were probably the most attentive I have yet to see in a hotel. always smiling and removing used plates and utensils quickly. Breakfast was a good a great choice of prepared fresh and tinned fruits, a small choice of hot food, yogurts, pastries, cooked meats etc. Fruit juice, tea and coffee machines. Evening meal always had a soup, choice of fish and meat, along with selection of vegetables. a huge array of salad items and probably the best display of chilled deserts ive seen in most hotels. The only down side to the food was.. I never had any food that was actually hot, it all seemed just luke warm to me. The roof area was quiet and the pool not large, but adequate for a little dip. A bar was open on the roof if you required a drink. All in all, a great 5 days away at an unbeleivable price for what we got. SHould I return to Monte Gordo, I wouldnt hessitate to stay again.
ゲゲストI spent 3 nights at the hotel having driven over from the Costa del Sol where I now live for most of the year. I used to visit the Algarve with my late husband and it was the first time I had been back in 10 years. I had a pleasant stay in the hotel. It was clean and comfortable with a very good choice for breakfast. Dinner was also fine as I didn’t particularly want to eat out alone. I managed to park outside the hotel each evening. A good base for what wanted.
We love staying here! The staff are all friendly and welcoming. They are very helpful and speak good English. The breakfast is plentiful and tasty with fresh fruit, cereal, pastries, a selection of breads and cold meat/cheese/eggs/yoghurt. The apartments are clean and comfortable. With a large balcony they are also very spacious with plenty of room to relax. The bathroom has a bidet (perfect for rinsing swimsuits etc!) and a powerful shower over the bath. WiFi this time was good in the room but it’s always strong in reception! This is not a luxury hotel! It’s a clean and comfortable apartment that makes a perfect base whilst exploring the beautiful beaches and surrounding areas here in the Algarve. Highly recommend!
