The room was on the small side, but it was loaded with what one needs for a comfortable overnight stay. The hotel is just off Rt. 1, which made for easy access to restaurants and other shopping opportunities. The bathroom is located bedside, which my wife prefers. Close enough when she has to take those midnight breaks. There was a night light, which is also important to us. Nice walk in shower, with a normal height toilet and counter. Lots of pillows, and darkening curtains. The bathroom could use a little sprucing up, and the door would need to be refit to close properly. Overall, it was a comfortable and convenient location for us to have spent the night.
Been coming to this hotel once a year for several years. Things have certainly slipped. Asked for service each day, assured that would happen (“you’re on the list”). First day it happened, that’s was that. :( First morning came down for breakfast pretty early (6:45) . There were few people present, maybe five got there before me. There were four (4) sausage patties in the container -total. BTW the parking lot was full the previous evening so not sure what anyone who came after me ate. 2nd morning. Link sausages, plenty of them, but they were not hot. Kinda warm, but not all the way thru. 3rd morning. No bagels, no bread what-so-ever so I couldn’t make a sandwich. No pastries. Had to eat a waffle. Went to check out and asked as always can I have a late checkout at 12 versus 11. As a Honors member that’s typical, you might as well have been asking for a free night. The response was not exactly supportive, but they did agree. The clerks facial expression said it all. 1st day, wife was in the room and someone opened the door. Block Lock was in place, she said give me a minute. When she opened the door, no one was present and no one was in the hallway. Raised the issue to the desk, just to be sure whoever it was should have been there. Told they would check it out, but told cameras on the floor don’t work. Management never got back and explained what happened…. Soooo who knows. Not exactly reassuring. All in all what was a good place to go has become a gone to, not going back.
If you’re traveling thru for a night, it’s a fine hotel. Nice employees, plenty of parking, bed was better than average, convenient location, big bathroom but cheap towels, the room, hallways and central areas were clean. It’s good for a night not longer.
Floors could have been cleaner, and there seem to be a lot of undesirables that hang around outside - especially at night. But the staff have all been friendly, the room is quiet, and the kitchenette/on-site laundry are really nice to have for longer stays. Location is also pretty convenient, most of Raleigh is only 20~ mins away. All in all, I would recommend for an affordable weekly stay hotel.
Checked in on 6/2 for two nights. I was in town for the Cy King Tennis Tournament. Arrived for check in and receptionist was very soft spoken and direct. There were no pleasantries just check in and go. I see reviews on how great the staff are , but my encounters were just average. The breakfast was ok . The eggs were meh. I did enjoy the mini waffles (yumm). I had no problems during my stay , hotel was quiet , rooms clean . I would stay here again for sure.
