ヴィラッジオ ホテル & レストラン(Villaggio Hotel & Restaurant)

We have stayed here a number times pre-covid and returned in Dec 2021, and always found it to be good. Since the previous time the breakfast area has moved and menu expanded for guests. The rooms we have had twin and family have all been clean and modern and of decent size, LCD TV, bathroom, chairs or sofa and desk. The food in the restaurant is good as is the breakfast, it has ample parking on site. We’ve enjoyed evening meals in the restaurant there in the past back in the summer 2021 the restaurant was closed and being redecorated we ordered a risotto from a near by takeaway and ate it sat outside in the hotel garden.

Awful place now it has been taken over and totally changed. Has a bar attached to it with a kids arcade area with an Indian restaurant in another part. Room was in need of some decorating, cold and fusty smelling with water damaged ceiling. No soap in the bathroom. Kids running around outside and making noise inside up to 11:30pm. Piles of rubbish in grounds and car park consisting of old furniture, fridges and other items. Looked like a junk yard. Definitely will not be staying here again under any circumstances. For £80 room only I’d rather stay in a B&B or a Travelodge! Avoid at all costs and don’t take any notice of the website or the company photos on here.

When we walked in there was rubbish in the hall and in an tesco trolly we had been in the room for 2 hours and a man came to the window we weren't even the ones staying we were there seing a friend man was very creepy friend said he was the receptionist spoke very rudely will never go there again would not recemend we believe he thought our friend was alone and had bad intentions

The hotel area smelt of curry and beer with sticky floors, which was not a good start. The person at reception was confused why I was there, then realised I was the last person they were expecting. When I did get a key, there was silence before I asked where the rooms were. The bathroom smelt mouldy (which it was), the shower plumbing needed to be cleared as it was blocked, and the sink plug locked in place. The steps down to the fire escape had 'stuff' stored on them and at ground level more 'stuff'. When leaving the person on reception (same as arrival) was asleep in another room, and couldn't provide an invoice for the stay.

The room was clean. Comfy bed. Breakfast was of a good standard and well worth the extra £3 pp. When we arrived there was customers from the bar sat smoking at the entrance and one appeared to be being sick. When we got back later in the night we went into the bar which was full of people with young kids who seemed to let them run riot. Not relaxing at all. When we left in the morning there was a bra in the car park. Just a bit scruffy for our liking

Don’t go, hotel severely run down, paper thin walls, bathroom stinks of sewage, fixtures and fittings hanging off the walls, bedding severely needs replaced marks on the wall, paid £80 wouldn’t have paid £20, ignore pictures absolute dump of a place. For the price go to travel lodge and it would feel like 5 star after this.

Hotel severely run down and shocking in all aspects. Don’t go and look for somewhere else.

The food in the restaurant was good and the staff were friendly. But even the staff were wearing hats and coats inside due to the lack of heating. I cut my trip short due to the lack of heating but it is not going to be simple to get a refund.

This is the worst Hotel I have ever stayed at! I had paid for breakfast, breakfast - none was available. The restaurant was supposed to have been Italian, but in fact was Indian and again closed! The corridors were dirty. The Shower cubicle doors did not close. The Toilet flush button was broken!
