This place is really special. It’s for the adventurous. The lake is stunning and the facilities are beautiful. Staff was excellent. We had such a good time here and felt well taken care of. I could come back here for a week just to read!!

Beware of any place that does not publish their refund policy. I booked this place earlier in the year, fully paid in advance, cancelled ahead of time, and still waiting on my refund. Tried emailing and calling them several times, with no answers to date.

We really enjoyed our stay at this spectacular location. The staff was extremely friendly down to the last person. Clearly the owners take great pride in their property. We loved having a fire outside and on in the great room when it started raining. Everything was like new, recently remodeled and clean.
Note, there is no onsite restaurant and breakfast was a extraordinary box left at our doorstep. Also of note, the cabins do not have running water but the common bath house was very luxurious.

Made arrangements for late arrival due to airline maintenance issue. When we arrived the cabin was full of other people. We saw an empty cabin. Not worth the money and at 1:15 am to find no place available as promised this is not a place to go. Communal showers. Sp**** rooms

Very clean and quiet place to stay. Sauna with jump in the lake right after an adorable breakfast set up was truly memorable for me. I would book again if I returned to the area!

We had a last minute schedule change in our Alaska itinerary and needed to find accommodation near Anchorage (we did not want to be in the city) . We searched from Seward to Denali and everything was full aside from basic motels. We found Meier Lake. The pictures online were lovely. I booked it and missed that there was no plumbing in the rooms. They have a shared “shower house”. My husband and I discovered that later and decided to be open to a unique experience. The “cabins” are a single room with a bed, one comfortable chair and a metal uncomfortable chair. So either you sat on the bed or someone sat in the metal chair. The room is smaller than a hotel room and there is no storage for your things. The room has cheap flooring that squeaked and buckled when you walked on it. Breakfast was delivered to our deck at 8 AM and consisted of a thermos of coffee. We declined pastries. There was no alternative. I would have been thrilled with 2 boiled eggs but I was told there was no alternative despite the the big kitchen I caught a glimpse of in the main building. The place was empty thankfully. So if you have so few guests why not try a little to impress the ones you have? Online reviews rave about the shower house. It is NOT spa-like. It is basic 1990 design with cheap shower enclosures. It was heated nicely. And what did we pay for 3 nights with no plumbing ...$954. I called and said I would pay for a fourth night as our flight from Anchorage was 10:30 PM. I was shocked to see I was charged $378 to stay until 6 PM the next day. I saw online the rate was the same as the other nights but they elected to charge me more despite the empty resort. The small lake is pleasant to look at. That is the only positive thing I can say. The website does not represent the product. I had minimal interaction with the staff or owner, but I did not get a welcome vibe.
