The Randolph Hotel

Went here for family sunday lunch, 6 adults, 2 children and a baby. Easy to book unlike other Southwold establishments. Welcome and service first class, food very good. Very enjoyable experience. reasonable price given where we staying

We had our wedding reception at the Randolph in early April and stayed in the Churchill Suite for three days. The hotel itself was very well presented, the room was gorgeous with all needs provided for. The bathroom was clean and the shower was fantastic. It was a bit odd having the bathtub in the middle of the bedroom but it was such a lovely bath with bath salts provided. The living space was perfect for relaxing and getting ready for the wedding. The food was delicious and the atmosphere in the bar/restaurant was lovely throughout our stay. We particularly enjoyed breakfast and had a great time at their pub quiz one evening. For the wedding reception, planning could not have been easier. The staff were so communicative and helpful that it took all the stress out of the planning. My mum made the cake and Gareth (the chef) was really accommodating and helpful re her assembling the cake on the morning of the wedding. Generally speaking everyone was wonderful at the hotel - super helpful and friendly. A big thank you to Harry who fixed my maid of honour's shoes the morning of the wedding. The buffet as excellent, they dealt really well with serving the wine out, and were very accommodating when we changed the timing of the speeches due to an impromptu cricket game in the garden. We could not have asked for a better place to stay or get married. Very much recommend this hotel!

This hotel is a hidden gem about a 20 minute walk from Southwold town centre and the pier. We’ve stayed in some lovely hotels in many parts of the country and we would say this is one of the best. Friendly staff, nice food and immaculately clean.

Yet another wonderful two night break at this lovely hotel. We ate in the restaurant both nights (as always) and the food was as delicious as ever. Breakfast is great too, cannot fault it. Staff are totally amazing and this time went above and beyond for my husbands birthday - a candle and happy birthday on his dessert along with Wayne singing 😊. We will return.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. We stayed in a small double room which was warm, spotlessly clean, freshly decorated with good bedding and had a great shower. A nice touch was the delicious homemade shortbread that was supplied daily with the tea/coffee in our room. A good selection for breakfast too. If you’re a fan of Black Pudding, make sure you try it here.

We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The room was lovely, newly decorated to a high standard and the room facilities were excellent. The evening meal was very tasty and there was a good selection on the menu. Great breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff.

Weren’t staying there , stayed nearby in air bnb , so went for £14.95 breakfast a head we felt it was good value drinks toast cereal and pastries however there were no baked beans tho with full English breakfast I ordered …. But worth the price charged we felt

We never stayed in the hotel but had a very good value for money breakfast. Lovely cooked breakfast for party of 11. Cereals Pastries and Tea and Coffee with Fruit Juices all included. Would definitely recommend. Friendly service. Nice dining room and easy to park.

Lovely hotel not far from the centre of Southwold (about 20 mins walk). We had a lovely large room overlooking the garden on the top floor. The room was spacious and nice and warm with a lovely bathroom. The breakfast was superb on each morning. We didn't eat in the restaurant as being off season, it was a bit quiet. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
