We got there after 11, but had called prior to that to say we had an issue and were running late. They were accommodating. Beds were comfortable. All we did was sleep and leave. It was just one night. Room was spacious and clean and the stay was good. There’s free parking which is a bonus. No complaints. Would recommend.

We liked it. The breakfast time and place was not very clear. In the information of the hotel they told it was in an other hotel at walking distance. But that wasnt true, it was in the same hotel we saw when we left the hotel

there is not so much to do around the area, so a pool/ jacuzzi would be nice. The property was good, and breakfast was also good.

The hotel was good for the money you pay. If you are looking for the minimum standard of hotel service, then you will not find it here. If you are looking for a good budget room for a night or two, then this is the right place. the ladies at the reception were super nice and very helpful. In the case you will be arriving very late, the reception is then closed, but the collection of the key is automatically done by a key dispenser at the entrance of the hotel. you receive a code and you can collect the key right there

I first stayed at Base 1 just before the Covid pandemic. Excellent hotel, lovely rooms and wonderful staff. A few hundred meters from the Swiss border. If visiting Basel in Switzerland, why pay almost 3x to stay in Basel ? Easy bus & tram rides into Basel, although i use a car. Great little hotel & I would highly reccomend ! Excellent !

We had booked two rooms and were positively suprised that they were adjacent and connected via a little corridor which was closed off by another door - hence essentially one apartment with four small rooms and two balconies. We visited friends in the area. The hotel is well connected both on the German side (S5) and Tram 6 on the Swiss (Basel) side which is less than a 10 min walk. The rooms are clean and the bathroom we used was reasonably modern standard. All the essentials are there. The hotel is competitively priced.

This is a budget Hotel and a great one we thought. Rooms are small but clean, we had a balcony and great wifi ......free parking...... and the lady at the desk was super nice and helpful. We ate breakfast (extra) and it was really good! If you want a no frills, clean room , inexpensive....i highly recommend staying here. You can walk 10 min to Switzerland, get on a train and go to Basel in about 30 min for 7 CHF each. Get off at Barfuss Platz and you're in the middle of Basel. That makes this hotel even a greater pick.

The room was freezing cold. Very disappointed
