The building is beautiful and the staff is very friendly. My family and myself mostly stay here when we visit Milwaukee, which is maybe 5 or 6 times each year. There are parking garages within 1 block, great places to eat breakfast at a walking distance, the breakfast in the hotel is great as well, the Public Market is a few blocks away...the location is perfect for us. The rooms are large...some are huge and ceilings are high. We have no complaints.

We had multiple issues with this property. First, one of our rooms wasn't a king at first, so they swapped to another room that smelled like cigarette smoke, so eventually the second room got in to a king room that didn't smell like smoke on the 3rd try. Then in that same room, there were multiple dirty towels with stains on them. Then in the second room, there was very loud club music late at night, so I called the front desk to ask about it and was met with hostility, even though I was really just asking if they knew when the music would end and not asking for anything from the property.

Great place in the heart of downtown Milwaukee. Its classic look but modern standard makes the stay fun, enjoyable and unforgettable.

Our experience here was amazing. We booked last minute after cancelling a stay in a four star hotel that was not clean. Hilton Garden Inn was such a relief. The building has a fascinating history and many beautiful original features. The rooms have high ceilings and large windows and are decorated and maintained well. All staff we encountered were friendly and seemed to really care for guests and this lovely property. This will be our go-to hotel in downtown Milwaukee. We couldn’t be more pleased.

The property was beautiful. The staff were amazing. opened doors, helped with bags. The front desk guy Wilhelm was overly amazing! He messaged me before we had arrived and was so helpful! I would totally stay here again and again if I ever get back to Milwaukee!

The service was great. The only two issues we had, one greater than the other was that a cigarette, a wrapper and a piece of lettuce were all found under/around the foot of the bed. Also, there were two stains on one comforter. The shower handle was also loose, with a small gap between the wall (forgivable, if the room was well-cleaned). Whether housekeeping did a 'quick' job or what, I'm not sure, but it was a little unsettling that some obvious items were missed during cleaning. Other than that, the place was lovely, shower pressure was good and space was nice.

The front desk staff was great! The heat was not working in my first room. I was transferred to another room which was not adequately cleaned. The front desk manager came to the room and cleaned it himself.

Beautiful hotel that has such interesting history. They do a great job of making it feel luxurious where it matters while retaining the beautiful history of the building.

Clean hotel, beautiful rooms. Valet service is a little slow, but otherwise great spot close to shops etc.
