A place of notable character, superb accomodation and facilities indoor and outdoors.

Nice hotel with good breakfast, only several minutes walk to the beach. Certainly stay there again if we come by the area around.

The staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble Lucas was so friendly and helpful. We will definitely going back again.

Lovely bedroom with large sash window and sea view. Large bed with very soft mattress. Great shower with loads of hot water. Bottles of mineral water by bed was a nice touch Short walk to Chesil Beach One suggestion for room would be to replace the instant coffee sachets with a cafeteria and maybe some flavoured teas.

Very welcoming and comfortable. Super food both dinner and breakfast. Great location will be back!

Will absolutely stay here again. Such a stunning building with beautiful views and Devine food. Tucked away along back coastal roads, it was the perfect place for a romantic weekend celebrating a birthday. The restaurant food was beyond expectations. Everything fresh and cooked on site, no complaints - not for the price either. Room was wonderfully clean with facilities. The only pitiful was the heating got a bit too hot and we struggled to turn it down but otherwise very cosy and comfortable. Tiniest downfall to the trip was the noise. With the buildings age, walls were very thin and could hear the conversations and movements (creaky floorboards & bathroom fans) in adjacent rooms. Otherwise, completely stunning & we plan to return next year. Thank you! 😊

This was the most tranquil stay ever, staff, food, accommodation and beautiful sea views..what a treat.

Beautiful, quiet location set in spacious grounds. The hotel is well presented & the staff very helpful. Access to rooms on the upper floors is via length staircases. Our room 23 was on the top floor, with a small window looking out to the sea. The room was spacious, clean with a large bed but let down with broken window locks & a shower that required re-grouting. The cellar bar is a nice touch with draught lagers & ales & a good selection of wines & spirits. Meals & snacks are also available here. I would definitely stay again but would hope to see improvement in room presentation.

Lovely stay here 18-20 October. Room 6 comfortable with a nice sea view. The ensuite is two steps up from the rest of the room, we were ok with it but maybe not for those who need to use the bathroom more frequently during the night. As other reviews have said, there are lots of level changes in the house due to its age, so probably not so good for those with mobility issues. Enjoyed our meals in the cellar bar and breakfast was good.
