good location good place to stay, also the staff there are very nice.

Outdated, poor management, no customer service Our experience happened in June 2022, let’s hope the management has taken action since then. In a nutshell, almost 3 months after our visit, I still haven’t received any refund promised for the downgrade of room we had during our stay. I do not recommend this place Our story: We were guests at the Sunset Tower hotel in Los Angeles on June 12th and June 13th until Tuesday 14th in the morning. Our booking agent has been in touch with someone called Erin by phone since the issues we have met but did not receive any news unfortunately. 30 minutes check in at 11 pm 2 out of 3 cards did not work to open the room We’ve been asked to remember our room number instead of writing them down on the room key envelope. Who does this? Downgraded room for one of us One of our room was very tiny and clearly not the superior room we had booked and paid for. Some dry paint had fallen on the floor and the smell was not nice. Unable to find another room for our colleague, we decided to stay and find a solution the next morning. Wake up call at 4 am (not requested) At 4 am, I received a wake up call and the person on the phone said: “Sorry sir, wrong room number”. Seriously? The next day our colleague was moved to a proper room and we agreed with the frontdesk manager that we would not pay for the first night for Marie’s room only. Refund not received until now (26 AUG 2022) The same day the front desk called me to ask for my credit card as it was not registered properly in the system when we checked in… I have been charged 3592.26 EUR for 3 rooms for 2 nights through our booking agent (Visa Infinite Concierge service) but I have not received any refund or excuse for what happened. Cockroach in the dining room We have seen a cockroach near the bar on the last day, you can see it on the picture. You can imagine how bad the experience has been. Noisy room Rooms are outdated with an air conditioning system from the 80’s very noisy even when you turn it off.

I booked through Amex and was upgraded to a gorgeous suite on the 11th floor. I love the art deco, old Hollywood vibes of this place. But the service was the real treat: Megan at the valet stand, Carlos (I’m pretty sure I have that right) at room service, and all the front desk and restaurant staff. I felt very welcomed and looked after, even at dinner on Saturday night when the place was packed and there were regulars and celebs everywhere. I can’t wait to come back — just love it.

We enjoyed spending our 31st anniversary at this hotel. we used the Am Ex program and got a nice upgrade that was greatly appreciated. We had a spacious suite with a balcony overlooking the city in the little building with the restaurant next to the tall hotel. Everyone was nice and the valet worked seamlessly. I can't wait to come back and stay in the original building sometime,

We returned for a second stay at the historic Sunset Towers Hotel. My husband's mom is a long-time movie buff - so she loved the posters of the original movie stars, the history of the Towers book, and lore of Hollywood. But most importantly, the staff are truly the best; gracious, understated in their attentiveness, kind and helpful. We did bring our 10 and 12 year old children and they loved the Terrace Restaurant dinner with their grandmother - shrimp cocktail, deviled eggs, fried chicken... That being said, they were the only kids in the restaurant, so it needs to be a certain knid of child that is happy to eat in the elegant and grown-up enviornment. This is our go-to special home when we come to LA

We had a great time at the hotel. It’s an iconic landmark in Hollywood. As such we found ourselves staying at the same time as several parties hosted for the Oscars which were happening that weekend. This meant some of the facilities were unavailable. This was initially disappointing, however the management team went above and beyond to ensure that this didn’t disrupt our enjoyment by arranging for a late checkout so we could use the pool and additionally offered discounts on checkout. There was a real sense that the management team were determined to ensure that our stay was a good one, so we are very grateful for that as as such have no problem recommending this hotel.

The Sunset Tower has become a go-to stop on any LA visit. The comfort, laid-back vibe and fun, and the old Hollywood feel is authentic. The Tower Bar is a great spot for dinner and drinks. Breakfast on the Terrace Room patio is not to be missed. Staff is friendly, approachable and accommodating. Rooms are nicely appointed and comfortable, while being a bit on the smaller side. You also cannot beat the Sunset ***** location. We love it! Highly recommend.

The Sunset Tower Bar is a must-visit when in Hollywood. It’s a quintessential L.A. experience starting with the seductive hotel entrance, through the high-energy lobby, and into the bar/restaurant where staff run the place like a well-oiled machine. It’s dark and sultry with a great vibe and energy, On any given night you’re almost guaranteed to see a celebrity or two. The waitstaff are terrific, especially the amazing bartenders. If you’re lucky you’ll have the funny and entertaining Dave behind the bar. (Josh and Luke are great too.) Don’t miss this place!

The Sunset Tower Hotel is an amazing trip back in time to the glory days of Hollywood. The staff is 100% on point, the uniforms are so professional, and the beverages are the best. Note that this is not a modern hotel. The lowest priced rooms are quite small, but the views are spectacular with floor to ceiling windows. If you love history and Hollywood, this is the place for you!
