We love how close to Historic Williamsburg this hotel is! It is close to local restaurants and where we needed to be. The staff members at the hotel were great to us! It was wonderful to find staff that really love their jobs. When you enter the hotel, there is a great big historic staircase that looks impressive. One thing that we found disappointing was that there seemed to be a lot of places around the hotel that were in disrepair. We had no issues in our room, but on the way to the room we noticed baseboards missing, torn wallpaper, and piles of dirty towels all around the hallway which detracted from the appearance of the hotel. We liked our room and the amenities(pool, fitness room, and breakfast) and didn't have any security issues, so we can't complain. This is definitely a budget hotel, but they try. We will probably return to stay here again.

The first morning we were awakened to someone outside our room scrubbing carpet. Since this was prior to 7am I felt it was poor planning. When the scrubbing sounds ended, the steam cleaner began. I really don't understand why this isn't done a little later in the day when people have gotten up and out for the day. We stayed 4 consecutive nights so I was very concerned when this happened the first morning.

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel is conveniently located. The staff is friendly and helpful. The property could use a facelift. And the hallways smelled like smoke.

Stayed here just for a night after going to busch gardens. Just needed a room with 2 beds and 11 o'clock check out. Everything was fine until the staff was trying to rush my family out. By knocking at 10, then 1030, then coming in at 1050. I picked this place specifically to leave at 11. Do not try to rush guest out before 11! Put a damper on my stay.

The best thing about BW Historic is the proximity to Colonial Williamsburg--several blocks, an easy walk. There are many dining and shopping options nearby, and the hotel is also not far from Busch Gardens. Staff is friendly, responsive and helpful. The beds are comfortable.

We like this hotel as a place to sleep and relax while visiting relatives and the historic area. People are friendly, and the pool is great- that's why we choose this hotel over others. Not fancy, but a solid stay.

Place was clean for the most part. Good location. Was a little loud Saturday night. The truck for the wrestling ring was parked under my window. It was very loud when they were loading the ring up after the event.

Friendly reception. Short walk (less than 1 mile) to Colonial Williamsburg. Decent breakfast. Adjacent Mexican restaurant is good.
