I was a resident. I sat at the bar to order a drink. But was ignored by the bar staff for 45 minutes. I watched as they all chatted and joked and ignored me. No drink. It was about 10:30, perhaps the bar was closed, but why didn't they say anything? The next night, I sat where I thought the residents lounge at a small table with comfortable chairs, I was told that I was sitting in the restaurant. I was not told to move, but I did move as I felt uncomfortable. The time was passed 9pm and the restaurant was running down. I moved to the lounge area to the other side of the bar. Nobody asked us if we would like a drink. So I moved to the lower bar area to order for myself, where a waiter told me I was standing in the wrong place. After the previous nights experience I was a trifle annoyed. The hotel is beautiful and most of the staff are cracking, but not having a bar where you can buy a drink easily is problematic. There seems to be no distintion between residents and restaurant guests. Also, our room was not cleaned, which isn't a biggy, but we were not restocked with milk/tea/coffee. The location is great. We had the tiny loft room, is small, but is pleasant. The bed is a bit tight for more than one person.
