My experience there was good. The staff were really kind and helpful.
The room was good, though I wish it had a minibar.
The breakfast was delicious, but if you want some black coffee, you better get it on one of the nearby cafes.
The cleaning staff would go to my room around 6pm, which I think is a bit late, but they still went anyways.
The location has its pros and cons. The pros are that it’s close to a subway station and you can take a walk to the Hubu Alley and the riverside. In the spring, the scenery around the hotel is beautiful, it has a lot of roses and other kinds of flowers, attracting many tourists and making it hard to carry the luggage around there. The streets are also not that luggage-friendly so it’s quite a mission to walk to the hotel carrying it.
I did have some trouble finding the hotel entrance and had to ask five different people for directions. If you don’t speak Chinese, get your translation app ready. Here’s a tip: you’ve gotta take an elevator to get to the hotel lobby.
