The location was quiet enough so there's no traffic noise. It's close to shops and restaurants. But to find the entrance to the hotel was confusing because it's at the back of the building. The room is very old and they tried to decorate it with an American theme with old furniture. But the walls seem to have recently been re-painted. The jacuzzi might suit some people but we find it a waste of space. One of the staff speaks English so it's a bonus. Breakfast was good with a variety of selections.
Excellent location - next to underpass and food alleys. Room - big, clean and comfortable. Breakfast - good spread but understaffed - tables weren't cleared fast enough - guests needed to wait around for clean tables
EElena HanlanThe hotel is fine. I had one of the tiny rooms (which the site did warn me about). The room could fit a bed and a bathroom (with shower over toilet). The bedding was decent and the shower worked well enough. They provided some real towels though a bathmat for outside the room would be great so you don't track water everywhere after the shower. The drain was initially blocked by they fixed it. Has a kettle. The location is ok (you could walk just over 1km to the zoo). Not too many restaurants nearby. The window opened to a block of flats. Calling that a ”city view” is a bit cheeky. The room is also quite hot in summer, and the bed is like sleeping ok a table, though again this seems standard in Qinghai.
