ゲゲストI booked the hotel as It was nearby to the train station Tugu,
I did not know that the hotel just opened the day I checked in on October 23rd. So I was wondering why all the 5 stars reviews were given in advance.
The lobby looks good and check in was good. All the employees were kind, friendly and polite.
I got room on 1st floor , My room has a city view so I could not open the curtain if the lights are on.
The room I was staying in was a standard room, there was a water cooker and a water jar ( you need to take water from dispenser next to the lift )
the AC was not on yet , so it was very hot when I entered the room. everything looked clean except for the mirrors, which were a bit dirty.
The room is not soundproof, because I could hear a child crying from nextdoor and I could hear some noise from the hall.
The bathroom is spacious and nicely arranged (but it seems unhandy as there is no place where you could hang your towels after they were used and there were no places to plug in your hairdryer) There was some problems with the hot water. I contacted the hotel and someone came twice to fix it but in the end there still was no hot water, lukewarm water was running for minute and then there was cold water again.
The internet connection was sometimes unstable.
ゲゲストI will absolutely recommend this hostel to u whos gonna traveling to Jogja with a minimum budget, this hostel was placed in Prawirotaman, around 3-4 km from Lempuyangan or Tugu station. I book this hostel for 100k IDR for one night in a female only dormitory that consist 6 bed, if u travel alone or with ur friend I really recommend u for this, first the place is strategic.
The bedroom, bathroom and area hostel is always clean, plus the service is so nice, I met one of a girl who works there and she is super friendly. Unfortunately if u want to order a breakfast u have to pre order it minimum 1 day, I can't order it that day but one of the worker there whose being so nice and friendly recommend me to go to pasar prawirotaman at the morning then I found an authentic carabikang seller that was so cheap and yummy. This hostel also give u information about trips and bike rental if u want. This hostel also had a rooftop and a set of table and chair that u can enjoy in the morning or night, chit chat with each other or doing ur remote work 😆. And One of the perks of staying this hostel is u can meet someone who also doing travelling then share ur story, I met a girl from Netherlands who just finished her master research in Indonesia and a girl from jakarta that also doing solo traveling.
IiphuriosThis is amazing hotel for its price.
First of all, the room is sufficiently big. The bed is comfy, and you got 4 pillows. Amenities are complete. You even got the premium glass water bottle. The room and hotel style is matching the Keraton style, so you got the Yogyakarta vibe upon staying , and this is very nice. The TV is loaded with Netflix, HBO, Prime, Disney+, and other local channels. Cabinet is surprisingly clean, despite its classic retro style looks.
The hotel is right downtown, so it is near to go amywhere. Next to it there is a cafe, so I can get coffee and cake with ease. Plenty food to select on gofood nearby the hotel. It has car park.
The hotel doesn’t have so many rooms, so it felt like very private, quiet, and comfortable.
The best part is their staffs’ warm welcome and high quality service level. When I book the hotel, I made a mistake regarding the date (I think the app automatically changed to next week if I am booking it next day or something). So I ended up book for the following week. The app said this hotel is non-refundable and cannot adjust the check in time. I contacted the hotel directly and they are EXTREMELY nice and very accommodating. Despite the rules of non changing from the platform, they bypass the system and allow me to change to the date I plan to visit. So far, I only encounter this level of flexibility and assistance only when I was staying in a high end 5-stars hotel. Therefore, big thumbs up for the hotel management! 👍👍👍
