Hope Farm Guesthouse

Most comfortable bed, lovely historic hope guest house that ticks all the right boxes . Delicious healthy cooked breakfast, Mike and Jo are so accommodating. Next time in York this is where we will be staying. Will recommend to my friends and family.

I was a guest earlier this month. The bedroom was beautifully appointed with an extremely comfortable bed and lovely shower and bathroom facilities and your own veranda seating. The furnishings are in keeping with the period of the house. The breakfasts are delicious, all locally sourced. The hosts could not be more helpful and really want you to enjoy your stay in their house. The peaceful and tranquil surrounds are all there to enjoy but at the same time it is ideally placed to tour this beautiful part of the world.

Hope Farm Guest house was extremely comfortable and welcoming. The rooms were very clean and well sized and the recently revamped bathroom were nice and well-functioning. Breakfast was yummy and filling and our hosts kept an eye on any of our requirements. An enjoyable stay.

There is so much to see and do at Hope Farm! You can stroll through the Japanese garden, check out the chickens or pat the beautiful ponies!! The rooms are lovely, clean and bright, with such comfy beds!! The facilities include free WiFi access, reverse cycle air con, smart Tv, and endless tea and coffee! We really enjoyed the breakfast, made by the hosts, Jo and Mike! Jo and Mike are a lovely couple who share the history of their home and the town of York with such passion, you can't help but be swept up in the stories! Visiting York is a great idea, stay at Hope Farm and really enjoy the experience!!

Our visit came at the end of a very busy few months and was exactly as described and perfectly designed to allow us to rest or wander! We had been a few times to York before but not had the chance to stay at this beautiful, (and very grand but still comfortable) guest house. Our hosts were exceptional; nothing was too much to ask. Everything from the marvelous bedding, beautiful towels, little amenities in the newly renovated bathroom, the personal touches in the sitting room and library, the fine china and glassware, the ambience, the décor, the gardens and surrounds, the cute farm animals and stone-walled quiet alcoves, artistic garden niches.... so many delights for our visit. We stayed for a couple of days but it felt like weeks of relaxation and magic. Hope Farm is located only minutes from the town centre, which in itself presented its own allure, from the piano and grand ballroom atmosphere present in the town hall to the numerous antique shops, cafes, galleries and quaint shopping options. Browsing along the footpaths, visiting the outdoor market, dropping into the local pubs and historic buildings was a truly delightful experience.

Hope Farm was a perfect finale to our camper van adventure around Western Australia. After 2 weeks of camping in the Bush, with minimal facilities and very few showers, we arrived tired and badly in of a wash! Hope Farm did not disappoint. Very comfortable, beautifully appointed room, lovely hosts in Jo and Mike, and a delicious hearty breakfast. We departed clean and refreshed, ready to explore the Shire York! What a beautiful place to spend the weekend. Quie and peaceful part of York. Room was clean, cozy and comfortable and hosts were very welcoming. Delicious cooked breakfast before the drive home. 5 stars from us.

Mike and Jo have the most lovely place at Hope Farm, the stay there was awesome and Mike and Jo make you feel so welcome. Myself and partner stayed for her 50th birthday and we had such a great time, we are going to make this our regular stay.

Great location, lovely comfortable room, great hosts. Breakfast is great and overall just a great place to stay. Next time in York we will definitely stay at Hope Farm again, hopefully longer next time.
