Excellent service, absolutely the best view in Zermatt. Rooms well equipped and comfortable. Location perfect. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Large and very varied breakfast buffet. In house restaurant among the best in Zermatt. Highly recommended.

My husband and I just returned from the Schonegg Chalet Hotel in Zermatt. It is our favorite place to stay and we had an amazing Ski trip! Their accommodations are top notch; Best views of the Matterhorn both from our room and their lovely Infinity Terrace, extremely comfortable beds and linens, spacious bathroom, plenty of closet and storage space, and a lovely balcony to admire the Matterhorn with a glass of wine or morning coffee. We ate at both their amazing Restaurant Saveurs, as well as their Bar Uncorked, and the food was excellent! The Valais Coq au Vin, Pasta dishes, appetizers, Hokkaido pumpkin with porcini mushrooms, Winter Salad, and desserts were exquisitely prepared and their wine list was fabulous. And the Hotel even surprised me with a Birthday Cake in our room when we checked in, on my Birthday! Thank you everyone and we look forward to returning!

A very charming hotel with lovely features. From the dining room woodwork to the spa facilities everything is first class. The location offers excellent views of Zermatt. The service and staff are very friendly and accommodating. The food is delightful. We can't wait to come back next year.

Wonderful !! Hotel was perfect. Staff were all super friendly and helpful, delicious daily breakfast with so many things to choose from. Hotel in a great convenient location to ski transport and stunning views. The rooms were comfortable ours had two bathrooms heated floors which was fabulous. . Will be back next year for sure !!

Really enjoyed this hotel and found it friendly and welcoming from the point of our arrival to the morning of our departure. Reception staff were fabulous, and the staff in the restaurants brilliant too. Breakfasts were amazing and the evening food (we were on half-board) was outstanding. Rooms were clean, well-equipped and comfortable. Our only minor gripe would be that Room 205 is situated right next to the spar: you still have a good view of the Matterhorn, but when the spa is open those using it also have a great view right on to your balcony and in to your room, so privacy was an issue. Beyond that, no complaints at all.

We enjoyed a lovely week at the Schönegg in February. The room was ample for our family of 3, with a wonderful view of the Matterhorn. We thoroughly enjoyed the terrace with the DJ, great food & friendly service many times whilst there and overall had a great stay. We moved from this hotel after a week to another & definitely missed this one. I would say the only thing missing for us at the Schönegg, is a nice pool.

Thoroughly enjoyed all that the Schönegg had to offer. Such a beautiful hotel in prime position to view the Matterhorn and glorious views over the village. All staff were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The food was out of this world every day. The vegetarian food was absolutely outstanding as was the main menu. We were never disappointed. Brilliant choice of wines available. Having skied throughout our stay we found the boot room to be very easy to use and the ski room very convenient. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will be back.
