Una presa in giro 😅. Oltre 500€ a notte per una camera degli anni 70 con materassi separati ed una vista sotto il livello della strada, con balcone condiviso con altre 4/5 camere...privacy zero 😭. We returned past weekend for a fantastic stay at Hotel National in Zermatt. We are a family with 2 children, ages 12 and 11. We all loved it and booked for our ski trip next year. The family room was great - plenty of storage, a separate WC and sink for the kids upstairs and a roomy bathroom downstairs. The beds were comfortable. The pool and sauna were nice and not too busy most days. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options and we all really enjoyed our dinners - 4 courses and the kids had many options from the kids menu but they could also select from the normal menu. Everything was possible. The service was also good, very friendly service, the bartenders were especially nice as was the manager. Our only small tip is to add some benches to the hallway downstairs to give more space for putting on and taking off ski boots. The ski room became really cramped during the busy period - and many of us are in a hurry to get the kids to ski lessons. Storage of the skis was great, just limited seating. And we loved the sock cleaning service. Really a super week, thank you Hotel National and see you next year!

Great hotel, freshly renovated, the family room (412, duplex with “boat net”) was spacious and well equipped. The Swiss cuckoo over the minibar is just a great idea !! Staff is very helpful and prepared. Breakfast was excellent and the restaurant manager (Laurent) is a great professional. The wellness area is amazing, modern, clean, well designed and spacious. The departure to Sunnegga is really 50 steps away, very convenient. The one thing we disliked, there was no heating control in the room. It was much too hot and we had to open the window to bring down the temperature during the night.

Just had a fabulous five-day stay at the Hotel National. This was our first trip to Zermatt and the caring hotel staff helped make it a great one - we’re already planning our return trip! The family room was great for our family of four (kids aged 9 and 12) and we all enjoyed the wellness area and delicious daily breakfasts (highly recommend adding these to your reservation). Location can’t be beat - across the street from the Sunnegga and a short walk to ski school drop off / train station, restaurants, shopping, etc.

It is the worst stay in our Europe trip. We reserved 2 rooms for 3 adults and 3 kids (7, 7 & 9 years old) from 18th to 20th Dec 2022 and the room rate was more than CHF1.5k for 2 nights. I stored the IPAD Gen9 into the room safe box once we checked in because I wanted to reduce my burden of my backpack since we are not going to use it. The purpose of the iPad is for my son to watch YouTube or play some games during the interstate train transfer. We happily went out for attractions until we wanted to pack our luggage for next day's check out. We noticed our room safe was opened and the IPAD was gone. My wife quickly went down to the front desk and reported this incident. The staff went to our room and check, and we unpacked all our luggage at night time just to confirm that we didn't misplace it. I asked them to check CCTV but hotel said there is NO CCTV outside our room but they were able to check who went into the room before. The replied was the staff that went into our room has been working there for more than many years and they doubt it. It is totally unacceptable for this incident happen in 4 star hotel in Switzerland. I told them we would like to lodge a police report in that case and the staff reminded us for few times that "Please check properly in your room, if police come and they find out the IPAD is in your room, you will be CHARGED”. We insisted to report because I'm very sure the IPAD was in the safe and it has gone missing and the feedback from Hotel was they believed their staff won’t do such thing, (and it has given me a feeling that ME (ASIAN) will do such unprofessional claim). The IPAD was on at all time in room safe and we found out in apple cloud ‘FIND MY DEVICE’ - it was showed that already offline and we couldn't trace anything. Night time around 9pm++, police came and we gave all the information and they took pictures in our room while I was trying my best to put my son to bed as we got a train to catch up the next morning to Milan. My son was frighten and he was scared and even had nightmare in the midnight. Next morning, we had to leave Zermatt at 10.37am in order to catch the train from VISP to Milan at 12pm. I had to wake up early to police station again to lodge another official report for the loss of IPAD Gen9 128G (approx. CHF560 to CHF570 according to police report). The police station supposed to open at 10am but thanks god they allowed me to go in for lodging the report before we left for Milan. Thank you to Zermatt Police officer to come at night time and helping us to lodge the report. We really appreciate that and at least something good from Zermatt. My wife was upset and told hotel staff that sorry, she will put this incident and reviews in tripadvisor. (Hotel replied in her TripAdvisor saying my wife THREATENED them, what an unprofessional way of replied). The staff said nothing they can do. Before we left, the MANAGER asked us to provide them my apple ID and IPAD serial number because they got a ve

Choosing your hotel is the most regretful decision of our Europe trip. Room safe was opened and belonging was stolen after we came back from the attracrions in Zermatt. Police came for lodging report at night and next morning we got to go police station for another report again. Unfortunately hotel staff informed thay there is no CCTV outside our room. It ruined our holiday and we couldn't sleep well in midnight. A happy Switzerland trip ended up with this story.

Sehr veraltete und verbrauchte Ausstattung. In meinem gebuchten Zimmer, war sehr vieles defekt und verbraucht. Übernachte schon sehr lange und immer wieder in Zermatt. Erlebte so etwas noch nie. Der Teppich sicherlich schon Jahrzehnte alt Das Frühstück ist mangelhaft. Das Personal ist sehr passiv. Die Angestellten an der Rezeption sind sehr schlecht ausgebildet, und sprechen kein Deutsch. Der Übernachtungspreis ist keineswegs gerechtfertigt.

Most helpful staff in every possible way. Great breakfast and excellent food over all. Perfectly close to the Sonnega train which is just across the street. Walking distance to Gornegrat Banhof and Bahnhofplatz too, and basically next to the town centre! Thank you for everything!

Our stay in Hotel Zermatt was excellent. The Ski access was right across the door - short walk to the Sunnega Funicular. Getting to the center of the town was a short walk. The front desk and the staff in the hotel are very helpful, friendly and absolutely made sure that our stay there was comfortable. We took a family room with a loft, this room is very spacious and updated. The breakfast service is excellent. Spa and Pool is the best I have seen in all my travels to ski in Europe.
