I love the philosophy of this hotel, sustainable development and zen! The staff is very friendly and give me good suggestions all the time! The sourdough from the bakery is extremely nice. I love their pizza, cinnamon rolls and cookie! The grill room provide delicious meat and wine! The breakfast is super yummy! The room is very cozy and warm! I love the rainforest shower, the furniture and the books! The spa centre and the garden make me relax! I will come back and recommend to everyone!

My recent stay at Hotel Rex in Zermatt was incredible!! From the charming ambiance to the impeccable cleanliness, every detail was just perfect. Their self-made kombucha, the biodynamic wine, the nice spa to the heavenly bakery treats left me speechless - best bakery in town! 🤤 Super friendly stuff :) Hotel Rex truly exceeded my expectations. Their Restaurant Stockhorn by the rex is a absolute must go! Can't wait to come back and relive this wonderful experience! ❤️

We stayed at Hotel Rex 16 years ago when we visited Zermatt during the summer. We enjoyed our stay then and decided to stay once more. The concierge(s) were extremely friendly, helpful and responsive before and during our stay. Prior to our arrival they booked our massages at a nearby spa/hotel, made dinner reservations as well as lunch reservations. Once we arrived, they assisted us with cab rides and other advice. The bartenders and wait staff at the breakfast are were lovely and the service was good. The seating area by the bar/ fireplace was a lovely place to end a long day of skiing/touring each night. The only reason we give Hotel Rex 4 and not 5 stars could just be our own biases when it comes to wine and coffee. Although tea was provided on the room ( much to my surprise, as I only drink tea), my husband longed for coffee upon waking and getting ready to go down for breakfast. As for the wine, because it is natural and does not contain sulfites, which I suppose is a good thing, it was very sour. I had the Sancerre and just could not continue drinking it, due to its flavor.

Abbiamo soggiornato per tre notti in una stanza Superior al 3 piano con vista Matterhorn. Da subito, la Reception e la Halle, sebbene rinnovati, mostrano ancora uno stile abbastanza datato, non proprio degno di un 4 stelle, il minuscolo ascensore poco curato, è stato un altro di questi dettagli balzati all'occhio. A parte questi aspetti più marginali, la stanza l'abbiamo trovata molto bella e spaziosa, quasi tutta in legno, sebbene anche questa in uno stile classico, per non dire vecchio stile un po' retrò. I punti forti di questo albergo, sono senz'altro: la posizione, il centro SPA con Jacuzzi e piscina bellissime! La colazione ottima! Varia... con squisite marmellate fatte in casa e pane artigianale fatto con prodotti di alta qualità. Personale gentilissimo e molto disponibile. Siamo rimasti contenti e..., dalla nostra stanza, la vista sul Matterhorn, era fantastica!

Service in hotel is very good. Delicious breakfast with best bakery and pancakes. Assortiment of juices, teas, cheeses, tasty vegetables and fruits Thank you very much to Veronika fir taking care of us every morning. Thank you to everybody, we have best experiance

My stay at the Rex was perfect, exactly what I wanted in a mountain town resort, from my room I had an amazing view of the Matterhorn the most famous mountain of Zermatt. The location of the hotel is very central, walking distance to restaurants, shops, hire stores etc. I came by myself, the staff were informative and friendly, they helped with recommendations, sights, rentals and must sees. My two favourite things were breakfast and the spa, the breakfast comes with home made bread on site, home made Jams, incredible pancakes in a buffet style to fill you up before a day of exploring. The spa is massive and just perfect to unwind after a long day. 5/5 for me.

Sehr schönes Hotel. Für ein Wochenende in Zermatt sehr empfehlenswert. Draussen im Garten mit Chill-Out Musik, Grill den Nachmittag geniessen und am Morgen das Frühstück (bestes Brot&Köstlichkeiten) geniessen war der Hammer. Wir kommen wieder. Sehr zentral gelegenes Hotel. Super Zimmer im 4. Stock mit Blick auf das Matterhorn.

Loved the breakfast! It was a nice cosy place to stay in Zermatt. The location was central and easy to get around. The receptionist was very friendly to us and helpful with lots of information on things to do but the waitress/staff in the breakfast area was unfriendly. We arrived late so we did not try the spa.
