Gulong Stay Review ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5)
I recently stayed near Gulong Canyon and had a wonderful experience overall. The area is surrounded by lush green mountains and rivers, so the views are absolutely stunning, especially in the early morning with mist in the valley. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and had a rustic charm that fit the natural setting.
The main attraction — the glass bridge and skywalk — was breathtaking (and a little scary if you’re afraid of heights). Staff were friendly and helpful, though English was limited, so having a translation app helped. Local food was fresh and tasty, especially the river fish dishes.
One tip: bring comfortable walking shoes and be prepared for some steep climbs. It’s best to visit on weekdays to avoid heavy crowds.
Would I come back? Definitely — especially to enjoy more hiking trails and maybe try the zipline next time.
It's literally the nicest hotel in the area despite being expensive.
Our room overlooked the sunset and the view was beautiful.
The front desk staff efficiently checked me in, making me feel right at home.Special thanks to Jackson, who made the stay perfect and was helpful every step of the way! I'll definitely come back.
Perhaps the most pleasing aspect was the hotel's quiet atmosphere that allowed us to relax and enjoy ourselves. There were no sounds of traffic or construction to distract or annoy us, and that was a pleasant change from our normal routine. We are happy to recommend to everyone that they book their next stay for rest and recreation at the Nan Ning Shangri-La Hotel.
By the way, the hotel's location is very convenient as it is central to shopping, restaurants and recreation venues. Aurelia, Jessica, Eileen, Doris, and Iris are great.
Cconstance_rEverything here was perfect! It was clean, very well located and, the staff was really nice and helpful. The view from the balcony and the rooftop is amazing as well! The staff even helped me rent an electric motorbike and recommended some nice places to eat! Would 100% recommend 💜
ゲゲストWonderful hotel with great view, facilities and services. Good breakfast and amneties. The staff was extremely helpful with our requests and some speak English. A lady rents electric scooters and the hotel has thaï-chi and yoga class, among other activities. The thaï-chi professor was very nice. Didis have easy access to the hotel so transport was easy. Ten Mile Gallery and bike roads along the Yulong river are near.
ゲゲストFantastic stay.
Breakfast: Great. There is a small menu to choose from the night before and you select what options and quantities you want. Guilin beef noodles are the staple and were good. Can also have dumplings, pumpkin bread, sweet potato, eggs, bread and butter/jam, yoghurt, and a few more.
Room: Great view. Spacious and clean. We had a walk in closet which was very useful for our large luggage. We could relax on the balcony in the evening. The sofa cushions could have been a bit softer. Bathroom was very large and well equipped. Good strong hot water in the shower.
Location: 10min walk from 20RMB scenic view point. 45min lovely walk along river to the Lengshui passenger ferry, or can get a 5min taxi. Not many restaurants in very close proximity. Can Didi to Xingping or eat at the hotel which was also good. Excellent for local walking, sightseeing and viewpoints which is primarily why we visited.
Service: Staff were a highlight of our stay. As non-Chinese speaking guests we used translate and WeChat. They helped carry our very heavy luggage, organized an electric cart driver to take us to Damianshan and Xiangongshan mountains, helped me order some online shopping to the hotel, gave us oranges and bottled waters as a farewell gift. It was their warm, friendly and helpful nature that was the best though.
花花貓咪I had the pleasure of staying at 花梦间 as it was the best decision I’ve made in hotels for our Guilin China. There are two branches, one near Yulong River and the other at Eternal Romance Park. Both properties are beautiful and comparable to a 5 star hotel. The design of the space in fact won an award, so it was an absolutely comfortable stay. We accidentally landed at the wrong branch and could not get a cab due to the peak travel seasons and the boss himself came to pick us up in the middle of his meal. That was absolutely kind of him. The most memorable aspect of the stay was the dedication of the boss towards making guests comfortable. On several occasions we saw him running errands for the hotel himself. The rooms also had thoughtful details such as metal clothes hangers and two types of pillows for guests. Beds were comfortable to sleep in and sound proofing was good. Upon check in, they will put you into a WeChat group with the “hotel butler” to assist with requests and they respond quickly to questions. Afternoon tea cakes were also delicious! If you like to be lively the Yulong branch near the river has more footprint as there are bamboo rafting ports at the doorstep and lots of beautiful cafe nearby. If you want a newer property and to go to the Eternal Romance Park the other branch has beautiful big rooms and a little courtyard where they plant some small vegetables, quite cute to look at! I’d love to come here and stay again. Thank you once again for the lovely lovely stay.
