Mausoleum of Zhu Biao of Ming Dynasty

A site on the east side of Mingxiaoling, the ground buildings have long disappeared, leaving only mottled platforms and some stone pillars. There are not many tourists, the area in the park is very large, passing by here is to Zixia Lake.

The Ming Dongling Mausoleum is located in the south of the Zijin Mountain in Xuanwu District, Nanjing City. It is the mausoleum of Zhu Yuanxuan, the eldest son of Zhu Yuanxuan, the Ming Taizu Zhu Biao (Prince Yuanxuan, Emperor Mingxing Zongkang). The overall layout is similar to the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, but the scale is smaller. The Ming Dongling Mausoleum has the mausoleum, the mausoleum gate, the front door of the hall, the hall and the treasure top and other architectural elements, mainly buildings in a north-south axis distribution, the existing Ming Dongling front door base site, drainage facilities and the door hall platform base site and other sites. The front of the tomb is the front of the garden wall at the front of the tortoise back, and the pattern is special. It is the only plane layout form known in China.

The Ming Dongling is the mausoleum of Ming Taizu Zhubiao. At present, the ground part has been basically damaged, only the pillar and foundation part of the temple are left, and the wall and tile part of the foundation is clearly visible. There are texts and other information made on the bricks, and there is a drainage ditch. You can see the shadow of the water conservancy facilities at that time!

In the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum, on the way to Zixia Lake, Zhu Yuanxuan's eldest son Zhu Biao, that is, Zhu Yunxuan's father's grave, has been destroyed, and now only the site foundation is left, but it can be seen that the scale and architectural pattern of the original, hidden in the pine and cypress, It's a good ending.
