Milvio Bridge

Milvio Bridge is an ancient pedestrian bridge. Like the current fashion, there are hundreds of love padlocks on the bridge, but this does not affect the beauty of the bridge. A bridge across the Tiber River has remained the center of Roman history for at least twenty centuries.

In the eyes of the Romans, it is also a symbol of the holy place of romance. They likened the Tiber River here to the Seine River, and hung many exquisite keys on one side of the bridge to pray for the success of love. On the edge of the arch of the bridge stood a huge fortress, with the Italian flag hanging, which looked majestic from the river bank.

This is a very romantic bridge, the bridge is full of locks, is a symbol of romance.

Ponte Milvio is most famously known as the bridge to which lovers attach their locks, throwing the keys into the river as a gesture of a love that never dies. Unfortunately, the weight of it all not-so-metaphorically toppled a lantern. The government moved the locks to another location (I believe, city hall) and now only a few locks remain. It's a nice place to catch the sunset and get a macro shot here and there. Peddlers will come by to sell you some locks, so you can commit to everlasting love even if you forgot yours at home.
