We spent 2 nights/3 days here before boarding our Viking cruise. Highly recommend! Val at the front desk managed to get us us an early check in, which was much appreciated after we flew overnight from the US. Room was modern and comfortable with a GREAT view. We were surprised and thankful there was a USB and a 110v plug as we brought the wrong converter … would have been a real problem if we couldn’t charge our devices! The restaurant on the 17th floor was excellent, both for the food, the service and the wonderful view of Santiago’s financial district and surrounding parks. We ate breakfast there each morning and had drinks on the shaded patio before dinner each night. Ask for the hard copy menu in English if your Spanish is as rusty as mine. If you want to keep up your exercise, you can use the hotel gym OR the long, wide path that goes through the city that is right outside the hotel front door. Not sure how long it is (just did 3 miles) but bring your sunscreen as it is not shaded. Just across the street from the hotel is a building called CV Galeria. It has about 8-9 restaurants / bars across three levels, all with outdoor seating. Great options for dinner after a busy day touring Santiago with no Uber ride required! One tip: contact the hotel ahead of time to arrange a pickup at the airport. It will save you time and angst trying to navigate the airport and choose unknown transport… great to have a guy from the hotel holding up a sign with your name! In summary: great centrally located hotel in a safe area.
As recent reviews state this is a lovely hotel in a great location and very quiet. Rooms *02 & *03 are far from the elevator. Staff are always pleasant and helpful (our thanks especially to Felipe). The views from the rooftop are fantastic. Buffet breakfast in the former Zefferano restaurant is plentiful and has a wide choice of foods. The Views bar offers a decent choice in its own menu and, although some wines may not always be available, there is a limited but good choice. The general manager has told me their website is soon to be updated to current openings and menu pricing. Hopefully the road closure (for up to 2 years apparently) at one end of the street (sidewalk is not closed though) will also be mentioned as some taxi and Uber drivers get confused on how to reach the hotel. Google Maps has been updated to show the closure, but just in case tell your driver to approach from Av. Andres Bello (rather than via Av. Providencia.) I hope your stay is as nice as our 5-night stay was!
We spent five days with our family at this hotel – we had an excellent experience. We had access to the executive lounge where we were well taken care of by Marciela and Daniel. They put out a beautiful spread of local treats for both breakfast and evening snacks. Daniel was always good about explaining what was in the various hors d’oeuvres. One of us had a birthday, and Marcella made “Happy Birthday” dessert tray for us. Our room was kept immaculate. Fernando came by with chocolates every evening and a bright smile on his face. Sebastian, the general manager, arranged a private car to take us skiing. He was involved in making sure our trip was outstanding. Overall, a great experience. We will be staying at this hotel when we come back to Santiago.
I would stay here again if in Santiago de Chile. The room I had was fine for me as I was on my own. It would no doubt be good for a honeymoon couple as the feature in the room is a massive shower, but with glass on two sides it leaves nothing to the imagination of the travelling partner (or the neighbours if you fail to draw the curtains). The issue only “issue” that I had was breakfast not being the expected buffet affair as the in-house restaurant is not yet open. my issues that were dealt with professionally and in a friendly manner, I could not have been happier with all the people who work there and the service I received.
