We are delighted that we have some sessions targeted specifically at our elite/academy players this coming October Half Term. We are fully aware of the physical and mental demands placed on you and, as we have done previously, we will be tailoring what we have to offer with this in mind.
Many of you have met current England/Great Britain and Olympian James Gall (Jamma). We are very excited that he will be with us once again and supporting you both on and off the field.
Jamma is a remarkable individual. Both his approach and outlook to life have undoubtedly contributed to not only his remarkable recovery from a life-threatening injury but also his ability to compete successfully in elite sport. He is fascinating to talk to and credits his sports psychologist with much of his metamorphosis from a rather irascible (but ambitious) teenager to a composed, calm, young man. Jamma will deliver some off-pitch workshops, alongside technical on-pitch training.

There will also be a focus on your physical development and movement patterns, delivered by our specialised conditioning coaches. Our ability to move efficiently, whatever sport we play, enables improved performance. We will ensure this continues to be a thread throughout our sessions as we know from experience the hugely positive impact this makes, not least our ability to stay injury free.
For those players that wish to attend a half-day, the above will take place from 9am-12pm.
If you’d like to attend a full day, the main focus during the afternoon will be match play. School Years: 9-13 Time: 9am-12pm or 9am-3.30pm Date: Monday 28th & Tuesday 29th October 2024 Cost: £100 half days or £162.50 full days Venue: Cambridge Univeristy, Wilberforce Road, Cambridge FAQs How do I receive an invitation? In most cases we will have seen you play and feel that you will be more than comfortable with the step up in both physical and mental expectation. If you are Performance Level or above and have not attended one of our camps, please get in touch. contact@classhockey.com 07788140754 Please note: We have completed a thorough risk assessment to allow us to try to minimise elements of risk as best as we can (in accordance with government and England Hockey guidance). Please ensure your child's packed lunch/snacks are NUT FREE. What to bring? Your hockey stick, gumshield, shinpads, snack/lunch, notebook, pen and plenty to drink. Please check the weather and bring spare clothes/waterproofs. What's the refund policy? In all cases we will do our best to fill your place and refund in full, minus administrative charges. However, if this is not possible please see below: 1-2 days - no refund 3-7 days - 25% refund 7 days or more - full refund minus administrative charges If CH cancel an event you will receive a full refund.
