Julia Morgan's impact on the architectural landscape of America, particularly the West, cannot be overstated. She blazed a trail for women in the industry, being the first woman admitted to study architecture at the prestigious École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and the first woman licensed to practice architecture in California. With an impressive portfolio boasting around 700 creations, Morgan's most well-known masterpiece is the iconic Hearst Castle.
