Rum Doodle, well it was our first time at The Lakes and it certainly won't be our last! The location was just right with being part way between Windermere town and Bowness and was walkable to both. There were plenty of shops, bars and restaurants in walking distance as well as lake Windermere itself. We found Rum Doodle with ease and was greeted at the door with a smile and friendly man (the owner but didn't catch his name). We were bought a fresh glass of apple and orange juice to our room which was refreshing after a long drive to Windermere. Our room was comfy, not too big or too small, a wardrobe, seating in the bay window, hairdryer, hot drink making facilities, wine glasses with cork screw and bottle opener. Very modern, clean and well presented bathroom with soft and fluffy towels, and a really nice shower. The bed was very comfortable and welcomed after a busy day exploring the surrounding area. Breakfast was really good with cereal, fresh fruit and yogurt, toast, and then a choice of breakfast which were great too. We had a pleasant and informative chat at breakfast with the lady that works there who gave us the heads up on some driving routes to try and avoid which was really useful. After a day out exploring we went back to Rum Doodle to a cleaned room and freshly made bed with the tea and coffee replenished, so we were able to just drop and the bed with a nice cuppa and biscuit. Then out for a walk, some lovely food and a couple of drinks. We couldn't recommend The Lakes and Rum Doodle enough! Well worth every penny

We booked the Superior Double Room and I felt it was well worth the extra for the gorgeous view we had from 2 large windows - whether the skies were sunny or cloudy. The location was excellent - within 5 to 10mins walk to the town and to Derwent Water and parking was well explained and ample. On entering Fellpack House, it was pleasant, well cared for and inviting. Our room on the top floor (stairs all the way up) was straight out of a home & decor magazine. The amenities, furnishing, towels and beverages were quality stuff and we saw that they also used locally sourced soaps and beverages. Housekeeping was daily and I loved that the gave us delicious chewy chocolate chip cookies each day! The breakfast was fresh & flavourful. That they started off as a restaurant (that operates across the road and is highly rated) carries through in their breakfast - I ate so much and it was worth every calorie! Best of all were the staff. We met many over the course of our stay and every one of them were warm, chatty, highly customer-oriented and witty! Can you tell how much I loved our stay there 😀

1.ホテルの場所はとても良いです。クルーズターミナルまで徒歩10分以内です。近くにはたくさんのレストランがあり、宿泊施設はとても便利です。部屋は広く、意外なリビングルームがありますが、リビングルームの横はベッドの横にあり、通りの隣にあります。朝と夕方は少し騒がしいです。特に英国の車の速度は一般的に速いので、少し注意してください。朝食は事前に用意されたパン、ヨーグルト、シリアル、ミルクなどです。冷蔵庫にあるものもあれば、ロッカーにあるものもあります。あまり期待しないでください。 2.車でお越しの場合は、フロントデスクで駐車カードを1日3ポンド、無制限の駐車場、駐車できる場所がいくつかありますが、実際には非常に便利です。出発するときは、最初に駐車場に行き、戻るときはフロントデスクに鍵と駐車カードを置くことができます。

The room is clean and tidy. Surrounding is quiet and comfortable. Attendants are nice and helpful. Breakfast is fresh, delicious, with plenty of choices.

湖のエリアには多くの美しいホームステイがあり、このホテルもそのうちの1つです。部屋には綿棒と綿片、宝石ガラスボックスもあります～朝食は前日に注文されます。ホテルのオーナーは個人的に料理をします。絶妙で豊かな～ 唯一の欠点は、私たちが泊まった2日間は少し暑かったこと、エアコンがなかったこと、そしておそらくファンがあったことですが、私たちはそれを見つけませんでした...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Stafford Guest House. The property is beautiful, set within peaceful surroundings and complemented by a lovely garden. We stayed in the four-poster bedroom, which was spacious, tastefully decorated, and perfectly balanced comfort with a touch of luxury. It also offered delightful views overlooking the garden. Our hosts were exceptionally welcoming and friendly, providing engaging conversation as well as helpful local recommendations. Everything was clearly explained upon arrival, making the entire experience smooth and effortless from the very beginning. Breakfast was both delicious and generous in portion. Additionally, there is a charming village pub just a short walk away — The Boot & Shoe Inn — which added to the experience. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

ホテルは小さな町にあり、メインストリートを2、3本入ったところにあります。角地にあるので騒音はありません。通りの向かいにバス停があり、15分で湖に着きます。湖は賑やかでお店もたくさんあります。スピードボートをご利用の場合は、事前に予約することをお勧めします。 伝統的な英国スタイルに、フランスの雰囲気が少し加わっています。部屋とバスルームには白い網戸が付いた大きな窓があり、バスルームの金具も高級感があります。この部屋は外に直接開くドアがあり、とても便利です。 スタッフが少ないため、朝食は30分予約制です。セットメニューは冷菜と温菜の3種類があります。 チェックアウト時、フロントには誰もいませんでした。鍵は机上の収納ボックスに、荷物はフロント横に預けました。スタッフがキッチンまで運んでくれて、とても親切でした。

My family and I recently stayed in the family room, and we had a wonderful experience. The room itself was incredibly spacious with excellent ventilation, making it feel bright and airy. The host was exceptionally friendly, and we truly enjoyed chatting with her throughout our stay. A huge highlight was the breakfast - not only was it delicious, but it was also beautifully presented! We also loved that there is a dedicated social space stocked with books and games, which was perfect for the family. Outside, there's a large driveway and lovely outdoor benches where you can sit and enjoy the sun. Plus, as a massive bonus, the accommodation is completely dog-friendly! We highly recommend this place and would love to return.

可以看到湖的小院，服務熱情周道，衞生很好。可以在店裡晚餐，喝酒。非常温馨。我們到達的時候雨天，所以在酒店裡就可以hangout，也不怕風雨。晴天可以看到湖和雪山。早餐半自助，可以點一份現做的餐，我比較推薦french toast。我們早餐的時候看到外面跑過兩衹兔子。

The hotel I was originally booked in had a flood so at the last minute I had to find another one, I found  Arkale lodge and it didn’t disappoint, the rooms are pretty basic, but extremely clean which  in my book is more important than a fancy room. And certainly good enough for the price I paid, the gentleman that showed me around was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was from 7 which was perfect for my continuation of my Hadrians wall walk. The Breakfast was included in the room price and was exceptional (full English, which I easily adapted as a non meat eater)  It was plentiful, delicious and freshly made.
