The facility was new and sparkling. The rooms were light, organized and clean. The oversized television in the room was an extra treat that I was not expecting. The beds were a little on the hard side for me, however they provided ample pillows to compensate. The staff was accommodating to a large business conference, even though their food prices for catering were a bit elevated.
Very nice hotel with a pool ,& very clean . The outside sitting area has grlls for cooking & a tv very accommodating . But on different note I got 2 rooms both kings with pullout couches . Only to find out that the pullout couches don't pull out . So we had to make pallets for the kids , which I understand doesn't sound like a big deal but for the price I paid for the rooms it was very aggravating . Had I know about the couches I would of got rooms with 2 beds . So yes I'm a little frustrated . Wasn't offered a discount , nothing !!!
Stayed for a couple of nights as we drove north up to join the Route 66 in Amarillo. Hotel is very new and as such well up to date. Greeted by very friendly check-in person who told us about all the amenities. Room was a 2 bed studio which is a large room with the 2 beds in one end and in the other a nice sofa which can be used as a bed and kitchenette with full sized refrigerator. Bathroom very clean and modern great shower. Hotel on south side of town but with easy access to all attractions. We used the microwave in the suite to make baked potato - plenty of crockery etc. breakfast was very good, nice touch with the waffles. Would certainly;ly stay again
My family and I come to this hotel often at least 10 stays in the last 6 months. apon arrival we didn't even get greeted or welcomed by Aubrey who was more worried about his dog ,we asked if it was a service dog and was told it was a rescue dog,we have been told since we started staying here that they don't allow emotional support animals which my daughter has but the employees can have there dog at the hotel? We had to wait to get are room because it wasn't finished but on are mobile check in it said the keys were made ,the elevator wasn't working and no one called to let use know it was wasn't working and to add to it there was no coffee in the pot down stairs we asked if we could get a fresh pot and was told yes after waiting 15 min we got are keys to the room and went up around 2 and came back down around 3 and there was still no coffee or hot water in the pots,i told the next guy who was coming in for the front desk shift and he dropped everything before even clocking in to make us a fresh pot of coffee with a smile on his face and no hesitation and even told us sorry and even brought us up some cookies and a note thanking us for staying at the Fairfield inn I think this place needs more people like Juan and not the first guy on the am shift who was more worried about everything but us the guest.
Our room was clean and mostly quiet but we could hear the TV from the room next door. Basically appeared to be a new hotel. The pool was stated to be heated but it sure did not feel very warm. Check in was fast and friendly with many choices offered for where to dine. The only knock is the breakfast area is quite small and when it was busy people waiting for their waffles blocked access to the rest of the breakfast wall. If we find ourselves back in Abilene we would stay here again.
