The hotel is still transitioning from being a Sheraton but is still a great place to stay. I have stayed here now for several days each month for the last ten months. Its service level is consistent and very good. In particular, although the swimming pool is being renovated (completion January 2025) when I needed a sun lounger to lie out on, one was quickly found and put in a private area for me. That was a great bit of service. I would just WhatsApp that I would be down and the lounger would be placed in position with two towels and a small table just as requested, Brilliant!! We had another great stay at Nordic. We will always stay here when coming to Abuja. The staff go above and beyond to ensure we have everything we need not just in the hotel but also in Abuja. The hotel is spotless and constantly cleaned, and the room is very comfortable. The hotel has a wonderful staff of drivers who are available when we need them and guide us around the city. Thank you to Patience, Alex, TJ, John, Frank, Caleb, and many others for a great stay.

ゲゲストI found the hotel grossly overpriced for the services and amenities offered. It’s quite cosy and small, which is great, however it appeared to lack any warmth, liveliness or welcome to it. The best part of my stay was the bitter leaf soup and poundo yam dinner I had (I stayed just one night), that was tasty but again, pricey. Breakfast was lack lustre, not much variety, buffet but not buffet. Better organization needed in the restaurant, especially with tea/coffee facilities. Also, my room was poorly lit, I love bright spaces. On the positive side, staff were courteous and helpful - security personnel, reception, waiter and housekeeping.
ゲゲストNormally this would be a nice hotel. Right now it is not. It is a construction site. I arrived on October 23 and left on October 29, 2023. During this time half of the foyer and restaurant space were unusable. And there was no wifi. These things would be understandable and tolerated had there been any communication from management, but there was none. A Snickers and a can of Sprite with a handwritten apology on my last day does not make up for the treatment we had. I invite management to state here when they perceive the work will be done. Until that time I feel that potential guests should have the right to know that the hotel’s common spaces are practically unusable and there is no WiFi. Management should buy a dongle so that guests can have some kind of wifi. I did say that if this was done I would not post this review but this was not done so here we are. My room was very nice and so was that of my colleagues. No problem at all there. Also the staff are all very nice. This will be resolved (I assume at some point in November or December) but until then I advise against booking without written reassurance on the state of the property.
We went to Waly Suites for a 3 day retreat and it was absolutely amazing. We went quite early and were given a temporary room pending when we can check in which is a plus for me because we didn’t have to stay at the reception. The staff pay attention to details, the environment is clean and serene, the food quite tasty and irresistible. The rooms are cleaned daily and sheets changed. I loved the a la carte breakfast because I get to eat my food at the right temperature, must confessed it was home away from home experience. The experience is definitely 5 star all the way. The cheery was the prayer room at the side of the reception 😍
The Mayrock was an almost excellent place to stay. I say almost because there were two issues with the bathroom, however, the management was quick to try to resolve the issues as soon as I notified them. The management and staff did so much to make our stay enjoyable. I spent the period with my son and we did not have any reason to complain. The hotel is clean, and the menu is extensive with well cooked meals. The management and all staff were professional, polite and just a pleasure to be around. I fully recommend this hotel and will definitely make it my hotel of choice on my next trip to Abuja.
