The hotel is new and very nice, however the sound travels and doesn’t seem well-insulated-like maybe minimal! We could hear toilets flushing down pipes behind our wall. The room was nice, bed comfortable and sitting area just ok because we had to put a towel under door to stop the whistling. The workout room was awesome-maybe the best part! Lots of equipment and has a wall of glass to look out. Breakfast was standard hotel fare and was just ok. Area isn’t the greatest as we were informed by hotel staff-we were told to drive to restaurant behind hotel instead of walking. We felt safe though.
We stayed here on 2 separate occasions in September and had no trouble like the other reviews. We did book through the Stay America website and they do put a hold of $100 on your credit card which was refunded about 10 days after we checked out. The room is a regular size hotel room with a kitchen in the entryway. The bed, climate control, and kitchen all worked satisfactorily. There are no hangers in the closet or luggage racks. One has to ask for kitchenware and the rooms are not cleaned for stayovers. We knew all this information in advance, having stayed at another Stay America in Western Pennsylvania. Our aim was to keep out of the breakfast room during the COVID era; this place enabled us to make our own breakfast and eat in the room. There is a desk and chair and one of the rooms had no easy chair. We could also eat leftovers from restaurants, as they all serve plenty of food. There is an indoor mask mandate here, and people obeyed it.
Excellent across the board. The hotel was extremely clean and bright. Michael was very helpful checking in and answering questions. The pool and hot tub were well kept, clean, with plenty of towels. The bed was extremely comfortable and shower was hot with full pressure. Breakfast was hot and delicious with plenty of options. Would highly recommend!
We have stayed at Best Western Rio Grande many times over the years. We love the location near Old Towne and museums, the restaurant's free breakfast, the accommodating staff, the shuttle, and the Southwestern decor. There is even a running path down the street. Even though we could stay with family, staying at the hotel makes our trips more comfortable and enjoyable.
MMike and Lea KlattThis quality Inn and suites was by far the nicest two star hotel I have ever stayed in! Everything worked… The staff is amazing… I loved it here and will stay here every time I come to Albuquerque!
Our stay at the Doubletree Hotel in Albuquerque was disappointing, to say the least. The hotel appeared rundown and neglected upon arrival. Our room was particularly disappointing; the shower curtain was broken, there were issues with the moulding, unclean walls, and the floor had a noticeable film that made it feel unclean. The coffee maker was also inexcusably dirty, with remnants of the previous guest's stay still present. Unfortunately, we ended up at the Doubletree because our original booking at the Embassy Suites fell through due to a lack of available rooms. This experience at the Doubletree left much to be desired, and I would caution anyone considering staying here to consider their options carefully.
