This hotel is in a little bit of a sketchy place but we had such a great experience! My family usually stays at this chain when we travel, and this particular location was excellent. First, Roger greeted me at the front desk and was kind, professional and very helpful. The room was great. Im a germaphobe and the room was very clean and I felt comfortable having my two young kids there and bathing them in the tub. The beds and pillows were comfy. My husband went to the gym and said it was nice and clean. And the breakfast was robust! Lots of options including eggs, sausage, oatmeal, waffles, yogurt, etc. The only thing that I think could improve is the coffee, but it was drinkable! Overall a great stay. And for a great price.
Horrible customer service! We just arrived, I jumped in the shower while my son went downstairs to get sheets. A minute later the so called manager came to complaint that we were slamming the doors. Their doors have a self closing devices that slams the door shut. When I tried to discussed this issue with the them, the so called manager (Jessie) and the employee (Genevieve) threatened me and my family that they would call security and get us evicted. Not even 15 minutes in this property and both of them treated us like garbage for something we don't have control of. If Embassy Suites doesnt want noise, they should consider fixing their doors and adjusting their self.closing devices. I will be calling corporate and filing a complaint. Day 2: the old lady next door complained again of the doors slamming. My boys went to.the room and their friends knocked on the door. He opened the door and let the door go...the door closes.on their own and the old lady next door complaint about it AGAIN! Front desk talked to my son (a minor) about the slamming of the door. My son explained to him that the door slams bc the hotel has the doors set up that way. This morning the manager told us to call her if any issues arise, we called her and she didn't answer her phone. For any issues you can contact Thad Clark at thad.clark@atriumhospitality.com / 505-353-5345. Tammy Munoz doesn't answer any phone calls tammy.munoz@atriumhospitality.com / 505- 974-7538
Our stay at the Doubletree Hotel in Albuquerque was disappointing, to say the least. The hotel appeared rundown and neglected upon arrival. Our room was particularly disappointing; the shower curtain was broken, there were issues with the moulding, unclean walls, and the floor had a noticeable film that made it feel unclean. The coffee maker was also inexcusably dirty, with remnants of the previous guest's stay still present. Unfortunately, we ended up at the Doubletree because our original booking at the Embassy Suites fell through due to a lack of available rooms. This experience at the Doubletree left much to be desired, and I would caution anyone considering staying here to consider their options carefully.
The hotel is new and very nice, however the sound travels and doesn’t seem well-insulated-like maybe minimal! We could hear toilets flushing down pipes behind our wall. The room was nice, bed comfortable and sitting area just ok because we had to put a towel under door to stop the whistling. The workout room was awesome-maybe the best part! Lots of equipment and has a wall of glass to look out. Breakfast was standard hotel fare and was just ok. Area isn’t the greatest as we were informed by hotel staff-we were told to drive to restaurant behind hotel instead of walking. We felt safe though.

ゲゲストA knock on our door at 8pm my wife opened the door to be met by the front desk lady aggressively telling her “multiple complaints about excessive noise and shouting from our room, she had listened at our door and heard screaming and if she got one more complaint we would have to leave the hotel”. I called back down stairs as I was in shock - i thought she must have the wrong room - the only noise was from our perhaps boisterous 6 year old who was watching a kids show on YouTube kids. But she again reiterated “screaming” and that we would be forced to leave. In my opinion I don’t think you could find a quieter family. Certainly the TV would have made more noise. Shocking unbelievably bad customer service - simply asking us to keep the noise down as someone had complained would have been sufficient - but the instant escalation to leave the hotel…..left us feeling very upset. If we disturbed someone at 8pm in the evening, we are truly sorry. The noise insulation seemed good in the hotel - we only heard occasional doors closing and the freeway traffic outside. We had got in from dinner around 7:15pm after a 9 hour drive. After the complaint at 8pm we spent the next 45 mins whispering and stressing that somehow we were going to be put out in the street in a Saturday night in Albuquerque, before going to sleep. Needless to say it was a restless night sleep. As for the hotel, we stayed at a Holiday Inn Express hotel the night before in Fort Worth. So we had a direct compare and contrast. In Albuquerque the shower did not work and there was a problem with the functionality of the blackout shades. The breakfast was a little disappointing as there was only half of the items offered actually available (the sausage and biscuits were great). No yogurts, cinnamon roles, bread for toast. And there was a distinct absence of any staff replenishing food, or cleaning tables etc. Check in was also odd - we had booked a prepaid non cancellation 2 x queen bed room (for our family of 4). Arrived around 5pm. At check in “sorry I don’t have that room, but I do have a king suite with a sofa bed; the hotel is fully booked”. I explained that didn’t work for us, we needed two beds. After some time on the computer the lady said ok, I have a room for you “someone else is going to be disappointed when they check in tonight”. I have no idea what the criteria used to select disappointing a guest were. Overall something just not right with the way this property was running.
We have stayed at Best Western Rio Grande many times over the years. We love the location near Old Towne and museums, the restaurant's free breakfast, the accommodating staff, the shuttle, and the Southwestern decor. There is even a running path down the street. Even though we could stay with family, staying at the hotel makes our trips more comfortable and enjoyable.
MMike and Lea KlattThis quality Inn and suites was by far the nicest two star hotel I have ever stayed in! Everything worked… The staff is amazing… I loved it here and will stay here every time I come to Albuquerque!
WWander38503583474Driving in we observed a lot of street people wandering around the perimeter of the hotel. Many would keep driving at that sight but we didn't. Our stay was just fine and the price was fair compared to the overpriced hotel and motel chains nowadays. It has a large parking lot that was secure. The rooms are large and very quiet. One elevator that is pretty slow. Breakfast is mediocre at best but the waffles are pretty good. Good stay for the price.
