Incredibly good food, fantastic surroundings, top-nodge-rooms, memorable activities and excelent travel company. An absolutely unforgettable experience! Can be strongly recommended! Thank you very much - I will happily return!!!

Spending a night in the Ice Hotel had been on my partner’s bucket list for the last 10 years, and it didn’t disappoint. It’s both a wonder and a spectacular creation. Sleeping in arctic sleeping bags on reindeer skin in -4 to -7 temperatures with the eerie damping effect of the snow meaning you hear almost nothing. The Ice Hotel is attached to the Wilderness Lodge which has excellent facilities at your disposal. There were luggage rooms that were always accessible, toilets, lockers for valuables, and really nice shower rooms. The lodge was built in 2021 so everything is new and fresh. The staff are so welcoming, friendly and genuinely proud of their Ice Hotel, wanting you to have a great experience. I would definitely do it again.

We booked this experience through Fjord Adventures. We arrived at the Lodge and were guided to the Ice Castle first thing so we could pick our room before all the good ones were taken. It was very cold inside the igloo/Ice Castle. The beauty the surrounds you as you enter the castle is breath taking. Not just because it is cold, but because it is so beautiful with all the ice sculptures. For me a once in a lifetime event. I made the most of it. We were given free access to the Sona and whirlpool. My daughter and I took advantage of the spa before hoping into bed with this incredibly warm sleeping bag as we lay upon reindeer hides on a bed of ice. We slept in the Goddess room beautifully adorned with snow sculpture on the head of the bed and on the opposite wall. Excellent, experience. Not recommended for everyone. But if you think you dare, then so worth the experience.

My friends and I went on an excursion with Artic Tours to the Igloo Hotel in Alta. It was an interesting and well organized visit. We had enough time to see all of the ice hotel, enjoy a drink and do some shopping in the small gift shop in the lodge.

Our stay at Sorrisniva Igloo Ice Hotel was an enchanting, magical journey in the Arctic wonderland that has still left us in awe many months afterwards. From the moment we set foot in this icy world, we were captivated by the unique charm and exceptional hospitality. The ice sculptures and accommodations were a true marvel. We were instantly immersed in a world of ethereal beauty. The intricate ice sculptures adorning the walls were breathtaking, creating an ambience that felt like a dream. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Their expertise and genuine enthusiasm added an extra layer of warmth to our stay. The facilities were impeccably clean and tastefully designed, showcasing a perfect blend of comfort and style. The culinary offerings were a highlight, with a diverse menu of delicious, warming dishes that catered to a range of tastes. The attention to detail is truly commendable. From the meticulously crafted ice sculptures to the thoughtful touches in the accommodations, every aspect of our stay reflected their commitment to excellence. It is a gem that stands out and offers a perfect blend of adventure and luxury, creating memories that will linger long after the frost has melted. Our stay was truly magical.

Although we didn't stay overnight at the ice hotel we went there as part of a tour for a visit. It's much bigger than we expected and the inside of the ice hotel was just amazing! Each year it is designed with a different theme and this year it was Africa. We could wander around at our own pace seeing the various bedrooms from standard to suites having ice coffee tables, ice chairs and even an ice fireplace! When ready we went up to the ice bar where they gave you a lovely blue vodka drink in a real ice glass which funnily enough warmed you up! Although we must say it wasn't as cold inside the ice hotel as we had expected, you need to dress appropriately. The ice carvings were fantastic and even some of the rooms had these too. There was even a full size ice car (jeep) that you could sit in and have a photo taken. The staff were all very friendly and spoke good English. Well worth a visit and we think it would be an amazing, if a different experience, to stay there for a night!

Fantastic ice hotel and surroundings. Ice sculptures, beautiful rooms, a bar with a blue dronk and chapel for weddings. All in ice and snow. The crew was polite and gave us an extra tour. The new indoor hotel looked amazing. It is still the most important location to visit in Alta.

We visited this hotel on our recent trip to Alta. This years theme is Africa. Many talented local artists worked on bringing ice sculptures to life. Some of the guest rooms also had beautiful ice carvings. The temperature inside is around -5 degrees but you can quickly warm up with a shot of vodka at the bar ;) Wonderful visit and worth a stop.

I'm not sure how long the ice hotel is available but the lodge is open all year and offers some interesting outdoor opportunities. We visited in early July and saw the early preparations to the ice hotel, then watched a video and had a talk from the owner and Q & A session about the ice hotel - it was very interesting. As a summer activity we took a fast trip upriver in a long narrow boat on the shallow, fast flowing river. All up it was an enjoyable summer experience at the site of one of the most unique hotels in the world.
