クトゥス クトゥス カング ヴィラ(Kutus Kutus Canggu Villa)

Do not stay here. It is dirty, and the owners are unresponsive to customer needs and requests. They do not share photos of the toilet and bathroom for a reason, they are stained and yellow. We stayed in another villa in Ubud for one week before this villa with no issues - everything was perfect. After a couple days in Kutus Kutus villa, I started to develop marks all over my body. They would get worse after each night sleeping in the bed - an obvious sign of bed bugs. The floors had bugs all over them as pictured. When we made a complaint about the marks on my body and the bed, we were advised that it would be cleaned with brand new sheets. The claimed new, changed sheets were yellow, stained and with evident brown stains (squished bugs). At this point, given the unacceptable service and cleanliness of the Villa, we booked a flight home and requested a refund for the remainder of the booking. We left the villa (and provided evidence of our flights to the Villa) on 25 December 2022 even though we were meant to stay till 2 January 2023. We have been trying to contact the Villa since this time and they are ignoring our messages and calls. They refuse to give us a refund and have not once apologised for this experience. Disregard any excuse they may provide as a response to this review - prior to this we mentioned we had a family emergency due to the storms in Melbourne however it was less serious than first communicated so we decided to continue our stay until the above events started occurring.

Arrived and the bed was dirty with stains on sheets and pillows. Mouldy mirror in bathroom. Mould and grime built up in shower and shower and bathroom floor. Mosquitos inside. Wasn’t happy so asked to move rooms. Second room still had dirty sheets with blood stains and yellow marks. Asked for a fresh set which was changed by the host. Breakfast very small only included one small mushroom, 2 slices of potato and a slice of tomato Friendly staff however I do not believe this is a 4 start resort. Definitely needs an update and could have so much potential as the pool is lovely and large

This is an excellent example when pictures are lying. Overall the cleaning was poor (inside/outside) specially inside the bathroom room's. It looked like it was moldy along the joints between shower walls and floor. One of the rooms was smelling so hard sewage that we could not sleep in the room. We did ask if they could fix the problem, but we were told that it will take several days before the plumber had time to fix it. It was installed and air dryer in this room, sow it looks like the room is water damaged and smell is from mold inside the walls. The pool house was full of mosquitoes an had also the sewage smell sometimes. The cleaning and breakfast personnel were sometimes late. Some days they never cleaned after breakfast. The other people was helpful if we needed help with anything else.
