アラム ダニア コテージ(Alam Dania Cottage)

We’ve been coming here for 10 years and this place is our home away from home. The staff are like family and we look forward to seeing them and catching up every time we return. If you’re looking for relaxation, beautiful people and villas you don't want to leave this is the spot.

We stayed at the villas in the rice fields and it was fabulous. The room was very clean and spacious. The privat pool is a fantastic bonus and the kids loved it. The public pool is very close by and has a good size. It is nice and quit and you live directly in rural Bali. There is also a transport service (free) to Ubud at different times during the day and evening as well as on call rides at every time of the day. This ones are not free but still very cheap. The personal is super friendly and helpful and you can order food, spa treatments or day trips directly there. The breakfast menu is simple but very good. Also the in house menu is very good. There are also some nice restaurants in walking distance or you can get recommendations for where to go in Ubud. Overall, we were super happy with the choice and can only recommend to stay at the Villas! P.S.: This place is in the middle of the rice fields and nature is basically directly outside the window... therefore it is normal that there might be some insects or other small animals and birds around ;).

My fiancè and I stayed 11 days at Alam Dania Cottage. I really wish I could join the rest on Trip Advisor, Google and so on, to salute the Alam Dania Cottage for a flawless stay, but I also want to be as honest as possible(otherwise it wouldn't make much sense to write a review). First, let me start off with the good stuff: The staff are some of the nicest I have ever encountered on a holiday. Always smiling, you are never "in their way". You can always reach them at the reception, and order food almost 24/7. We arrived pretty late in the evening, but when we stepped into the property, we were welcomed with open arms and big smiles. It is really like a big family, and I only have kind and positive remarks about the staff. The food was absolutely delicious, especially their Indonesian specialities. Highly recommended! It was very cool to live "in the jungle". It is authentic and you can hear insects a lot. This will probably throw off some people, but I kind of liked it(as long as they stay far away from my bed :). One small thing is, I would have appreciated some kind of "tour" around the property. Of course not the evening we arrived, but maybe the day after. We saw another pool facing directly towards the rice fields on their website and from a lot of other reviews, but I have no idea where it is. We only found out the day before we were leaving, that it is next door by some of their other apartments. So yes, just a little tour with some ground rule information and so on. There are several beautiful indonesian architectural and religious items around the property, and I would have loved to get some information about them. There are a lot of street dogs around Indonesia, and in this nabourhood it is no exception. We learned by Googling that many of the dogs are not strays but belong to various homes on the street. Their "job" is to guard the village, keep off rats and snakes, which is a lot more calming for me than thinking they were all strays with rabies. Maybe the hotel could give this information to people staying there, since there are dogs almost right outside the doorstep, and they can seem a bit aggressive at first. Of course you can also read up on this yourself. There were some misunderstandings during our stay, mainly because of language barrier. For example the price of their tours. They have a good selection of different tours on Bali with a driver, but we got different prices from 3 different employers(last price was from the owner). The tour we ended up booking had a driver who only "drove". Almost said nothing during our entire trip, and did not explain anything about the things we went to see, and his English was not very good.  Maybe we misunderstood something, but we at least expected for some sort of guide behaviour from him. Especially because we had booked a similar trip a few days before with Bali Tours, where the driver was also a guide, and he was excellent. It said "driver" on the tour selection, but we did n

We thought when reading the reviews there is no way this place can be as good as it on the reviews… well it is because of one thing.. the staff! If you want to be part of a local family then look no further. The team go above and beyond to help with your every need through your stay. Punia the owner is hands on and wants to hear your genuine feedback as all he wants is happy guests! Seri (sorry if not spelt correctly) is an asset to the team, she is so tiny but does so much! She cooks amazing dishes, asks how your day is every day and wants to help in every way! We did the volcano tour with Putu he is so much fun we had a great day with him (one of the villa drivers). In all every single member of the team are incredible, these are just some shinning stars for us. Massage is a must it is so cheap and so worth it we had several throughout our stay. Floating breakfast is also a must do experience one morning. The villa itself is a great size, the bathroom is incredible to shower outside. The only thing we would think would be nice would be a cushion on the sun loungers but that’s just feedback not a negative 😃 Now do not book this villa if you do not want to be immersed into jungle culture, there are bugs, there are ants, there will be ducks and roosters in the morning time. We loved this local experience but if it’s not for you do not waste Punia’s hard earned time but booking and complaining about nature. All in all this is a great home from home, the ubud shuttles are so handy and we would recommend this place to anyone. Thank you family for a great stay.

We stayed in the Alam Dania Villa by the rice field. It is clean and overlooks beautiful rice fields. Good size of room. The highlight is exceptional service by Punia and his team. They go out of the way to help you and meet all your requests. Food is fresh and good. Only suggestion would be to increase the shuttle service to city centre to atleast 3 times a day. We will be back soon.

Our stay was so nice that we extentend it twice :) villa itself is clean and cozy, with a terrace and everything you need for comfort. Beautiful pool and rice fields, and the place itself surrounded by beautiful nature, jungle, rice fields and even little waterfall:) Strongly recommended for those who want to enjoy and relax out of noise and tourists crowds

Was ok, this is just enough to stay for a short time... Alitle far from ubud street so we need rent a bike or sould be fine a taxi when you need go anywhere. But the good is all the People very friendly so make you feel like in home. So far is good to stay for a night

Super verblijf. Heel schoon, het wordt immers twee keer per dag schoon gehouden. De staff is oprecht heel aardig. Ze kijken echt naar je om en willen er zeker van zijn dat je verblijf top is. De buiten badkamer is echt top, douchen onder de sterren of in de regen. Het zwembad is top. Er zijn een aantal verblijven met een eigen zwembad wat in ons geval maakte dat we telkens alleen bij het grote bad waren. Ook dit bad wordt heel goed onderhouden en schoon gehouden. Voor 100.000 roepia kun je er een floating breakfast krijgen! Via het verblijf kun je een aantal tours boeken. Wij wilden een tour doen die niet standaard aangeboden werd maar dat vormde geen probleem. Uiteindelijk zijn we twee dagen met Komang op pad geweest en wat een gouden kerel is dat. Komang maakte er een missie van om het ons naar de zin te maken. Hij wil het maximale uit een tour halen en is onderweg druk met alle informatie die hij je wilt geven. Je kunt hem met je volle vertrouwen achterlaten met je spullen, wat een fijne gast. Het verblijf ligt op 10 minuten (scooter) rijden van Ubud en het is erg rustig in de omgeving. Wanneer je daarvan houdt is dat een echte plus ten opzichte van het drukke Ubud. Het verblijf is precies zoals het omschreven is in de advertentie. Twijfel niet over dit verblijf, zeker boeken!!

Questo hotel è un sogno dall’inizio alla fine! La posizione è strategica, a pochi km dal centro di Ubud raggiungibile con navetta gratuita o driver privato. Ottimo cibo, ottimi massaggi, la piscina è sempre pulitissima ed è a uso privato, ma la nota di merito più grande va alla gentilezza del personale, sempre disponibile ad esaudire ogni richiesta, amichevole, accoglienza top! Noi ci siamo spostati sempre con i driver forniti dalla struttura, sempre cortesi, che non solo ci hanno accompagnato, ma ci hanno anche consigliato altri posti da vedere e dove mangiare. Abbiamo organizzato con loro anche la visita alle Gili pagando meno rispetto ad ogni tariffa presente su internet e avendo incluso anche il trasporto verso il porto. 5 stelle meritatissime!
