Ashyana Candidasa Beach Resort

This is an absolute dote of a hotel. Peaceful and tranquil with remembrances of an older Bali where time stood still and was unimportant. Easily the friendliest and most eager to please staff I've ever encountered...possibly anywhere... and that's saying something. High-ceilinged cottage-style rooms. The waves lapping outside. A dated pool, but who really cares? A competent restaurant on site. It's really great. It's got a big gong. You'll love it!

We stopped by to eat here and we’re so glad we did! A beautiful, open spaced restaurant overlooking the beach. Fantastic food, beautiful attentive staff. I had the prawn dish with noodles, ginger & honey and it was simply delicious. The basic white wine was equally good and so cheap! Highly recommend

We visited the resort with a G-adventure group in mid May 2023 and had very nice experience with the whole resort and staff working there. The last day of the stay my husband got sick and needed a medical attention so we stayed additional several days and joined our group later. The staff of the resort and their restaurant was very, very supportive and kind. Anything we needed during those 3-4 days was available. My husband recovered and we could continue our trip in Indonesia. Their help for organizing our transfer to Gillie was highly appreciated. This was our favourite place we stayed at during our family holiday in Bali. All the staff were amazing and made us feel so welcome and they couldnt of done more for us. Beautiful views out to sea from the restaruant and bungalows.

I hate to write negative reviews. It's not how i want to remember my vacation, but i am compelled to share. This was our last stay on a G Adventures tour and we were looking forward to our stay at Ashyana Candidasa Beach Resort. The rooms looked lovely on the website and they claimed to have air-conditioning! However, the room we got was NOT the one on the website and our air-conditioner was broken. Hotel staff came to "fix" it but after an hour the room was still quite warm and the unit was blowing room temperature air. When we went to the front desk to ask if there was another room we could move to, the gentleman at the desk very rudely told us no and that we would have to wait a few hours for the room to cool. We had a pretty miserable night and the room did not feel comfortable until around 7am. The thing that bothered me the most was how rude and aggressive the manager(?) was. I was not rude to him. The Balinese people had been lovely and welcoming up to that point and we didn't want that to be our last experience in Bali, so we checked out the next morning and found other accommodations. Some Pros (because i don't want this to be totally negative): They make lovely towel animals. I didn't have to wait the full 7 minutes they say it will take for warm water in the shower. And, I didn't have to wait long for the breakfast I ordered the night before. However, i never got the juice i ordered.

What a little gem this is!, I have travelled with a group around Bali and lombok. Some of the hotels I have stayed in are still catching up on customer service, but not this one. They are totally up to speed… or even ahead ! the customer service was superb!, from welcome drinks, being shown to the room, shown all the facilities and feeling very looked after from the moment I walked in! Staff know the customer names, plates come with your names on it and the food was excellent. The food is so well presented, everywhere is so clean and tidy and the staff are so attentive . I would come back here in a heartbeat!, please congratulate all of the staff working here for all of their superb efforts! It was the best customer service that I experienced in my whole two weeks of travelling and the hotel, its grounds are beautiful, all kept superbly clean and tidy. Regards Kim .

From the warm welcome to being waved goodbye by staff, this place is all about the service (and beautiful beachfront location too!). They addressed us by name and genuinely wanted us to enjoy our stay. Shining example of great service. Room was clean, has AC/fan and mini bar fridge. The lower mark for eco friendliness was due to some of the garbage on the beach and pier - but the staff went out to do a clean up on our last day there. I highly recommend Ashyana and would absolutely return again.

We just returned to our special hotel at Candidasa "Ashyana Candidasa". The experience was outstanding. The property was very special and the staff are incredible. This is more than just a hotel; it's an environment. The restaurant "Le-zat" were all outstanding, the generous staffing made this visit top drawer. The staff at Restaurant were top notch other side the reception, housekeeping, and kitchen team also was gracious. A small touches mean a ton to us. Your full staff made this an incredible experience. Please know that it truly makes a difference.

Ashyana resort is simply lovely. First of all, the bungalows are beautifully furnished. Very tasteful! The service is incredibly friendly and helpful, even by balinese standards, where staff (and folks in general) are very kind and polite. The restaurant offers a good selection of Western and indonesian dishes, all of them delicious and offers a spectacular sea view. The resort is eco-friendly and offers refill for your water bottles and a transparent recycling policy. Simply perfect!
