The biggest issue is the renovation and construction going on. They are replacing the carpets and things are ripped up everywhere and the new carpets smell horrible. I was on the 9th floor and they were doing this one the 10th floor, or at least storing something there. I could smell it everywhere. Then, perhaps to cover the smell, they decided to start painting the hallway when it was full of guests! Now it smelled like paint and workers were painting and blocking the rooms. I complained about this when I checked out and the staff was very unhelpful and sort of muttered and walked away after telling me something that probably can not be in this review. Honestly, I tried to resolve this directly before I left, but the front desk was not interested so I said, okay, I'm going to contact Accor and write some reviews. The staff in general was quite unprofessional for this quality of hotel and need some more training. They lounge in the backroom on a couch in view of the lobby or play on their phones. The room was also dirty and the bathroom is very small. Breakfast wasn't bad, but crowded. The hotel is quite far from all the tourist parts of Sarajevo. I've had to alter this review a few times, so hopefully it will work now.
Presidential is an understatement for this superior, modern hotel in the heart of Sarajevo’s attractions, restaurants and pedestrian streets. Our Overseas Adventure Travel tour group was assigned to this hotel. The tour company could not have made a better selection. The room I occupied overlooked the river and the base of a mountain range. The room is beyond spectacular, especially considering less expensive rooms are generally assigned to tour groups. The bathroom features an entire glass wall with curtains to close for privacy. But why? Many of the rooms overlook a busy street and the river. Besides, who’d want to look at a 71-year-old geezer shaving?☺ Windows are insulated blocking cold and street noise. The room is spacious, clean, modern, and has all creature comforts. But beware of the minibar prices. There are small grocers nearby that sell wine for about 6 euros. Buffet breakfast was included for tour group members, so I don’t know if there’s a separate charge for other guests. The hotel staff are amazing and courteous. If only Orlando area hotels could learn from Hotel President Sarajevo.
This hotel never disappoints. It’s my at least once a year spot when visiting or just passing through Sarajevo. I was beyond happy to find out that it has become 100% smoke free hotel; no more smoking in their sky-bar either! This used to be my last hang up on this hotel. Otherwise, it truly has full Marriott qualities. I love the hotel, rooms, cleanliness, food at the restaurant (except once in all these years), location, access from and to the airport as well as to city’s attractions, but my most favorite thing about it is the employees! It’s the old school staff; respectful appearance, approach, friendly faces, always going one step beyond. I love, love, LOVE it! It’s my home away from home. I definitely recommend staying at this wonderful hotel. Enjoy!
GGlenn CThe hotel is located within easy walking distance of the Old Town. There is a Europeon style breakfast daily. Rooms are large with a kitchenette. Bed was comfortable. Air Conditioning worked fine during our stay in May. The hotel also offers a paid pickup service to and from the airport for a fair price. Our flight was late but our driver was there with our names on a sign in hand.
ゲゲストThe hotel is in the perfect location, scenic views all round and near restaurants, shops etc. It is walking distance to old town and a lot of the sights, like the cable car, the wooden fountain, historical mosques, city hall, eternal flame, museums, markets, etc. Take a short walk up to Yellow Fortress near the hotel for some breathtaking views! The hotel is super clean and the staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, going above and beyond to make your experience even better! The room itself was huge, bed was very comfortable, bathroom was fantastic, you’re given toiletries and tea, coffee etc. Used the sauna which is free and you book sessions with the reception staff. Breakfast each morning was fresh and tasty, buffet style with a variety of juices and coffees/teas, ate so much! Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again when I visit Sarajevo and Bosnia again, loved it! Thank you :-)
ゲゲストI came with my family to bosnia. We planned to stay at malak regency. We book deluxe suite with a connecting room. once we arrived i called the reception to send tge house keeping then after long time they arrived. I asked for tissues as there was not even one tissue box in both suite and room ! And there was only 4 hangers for clothes so i asked for more she came back with one tissue box only and no hangers when i asked where and how should i hang the clothes she was very rude and my husband asked for extra pillows she was literally screaming no no no … this is my first time facing this kind of stuff in a 5 star hotel. I am very disappointed even the suite is not that good not was i was expecting. I really don’t recommend this hotel and sure will not come again. I went to a supermarket to buy my own hangers to keep my clothes in the cabinet. What a 5 star hotel !!!
ゲゲストWe stayed for two nights, my nine year old son and myself. We paid £173 for two nights. The swimming pool was very good. Breakfast buffet is huge and lots of food. We are at the dinner buffet one night and also had the a la carte the other night, both meals around £25 for the two of us and more than we could eat. Ice cream each was £2. Close to airport but with windows closed you don't hear anything. Lots of local attractions. The staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble, the waiters were attentive to my son and very kind to him. Attached to the hotel is kinderland, which is a soft play and trampoline centre all in one, superb value and you pay £3 for all day and can come and go, but it's not the UK, you have to be responsible for your own child. Table football was a mark a go (50pence) Drinks and coffee at the hotel were £2 for coffee or soft fizzy drinks. The staff were so kind and made sure we had the hotel number to ring if we got into any issues in town. A good hotel for all, the rooms were massive with a balcony. Do be aware that the cafe restaurant allows smoking I'm a smoker so I was happy As a dad traveling alone with my son, they didn't ask silly questions about where his mother was, the staff simply looked after him really well. The hotel is a great price for what we had, there is sometimes a language barrier but the staff do care. The swimming pool is very strict and made it clear children are to be with parents at all times. We would come back here
