Since I had a good experience staying at Atour Hotel elsewhere, I chose it without hesitation for my stay in Beijing. I made the right choice after all. It may be a bit tricky to find at first, but it's close to the nearest subway station. The bus stop is nearby, and access to other places is also convenient. The interior is clean and tidy. The surrounding environment is pleasant, and it was quiet at night. The breakfast menu is also extensive and delicious. The environment is fine, but the lack of restaurants nearby was a problem.
It seems best to eat in the downtown area.
I stayed at this hotel because I was planning to visit the China National Botanic Garden.
I am pleasantly surprised by this hotel in the following areas:
1. Overall cleanliness is very good. Rooms and common areas are kept very clean
2. Free laundry room usage for guests with washer and dryer.
3. Free coffee making machine, ice machine and water in the common lobby area
4. Though the staff are not very conversant in English, with my not so perfect Chinese, I can communicate with them easily
5. The staff are also very helpful and try to do their best if they can.
I could get taxis easily and go to the botanic garden, Capital Mall and the Paleontology museum easily.
There are some restaurants just outside the hotel and a local department store about 10-15min walk away.
