The staff is friendly and the reception and restaurant area look nice.
The room was also nice at first glance, there’s a private outside space, cute wall decor and a big bath inside. The big bath was lovely, spacious enough to easily fit 2 people and the water had a great temperature.
Unfortunately, the room was not very clean and there was insufficient toilet paper and shampoo. Also, the bed was very uncomfortable, very hard and we could feel the springs poking through. The walls are very thin, we could hear our neighbour snoring.

We stayed in this nice hotel for two nights to climb the Great Wall. Easy to get to by bus 919 or 880, with a couple of restaurants and a supermarket nearby. The room was well setup, very clean and fully functional. Dinner in the hotel restaurant has a great choice and good taste, highly recommended. Only the breakfast was disappointing, as there is no coffee, tea, nor even hot water and the choice of food is very limited. Staff tries their best, but it is the managements decision which way to go for.
the owner hospitality is very good, he’s always ready to help (upgrade our room type, intro us a good restaurant, help us to move our luggages, give us all information about the Great Wall including free bus to and back from the Great Wall entrance). His service is superb good
This property is awesome. Just one village before Badaling Great Wall, so the village is quiet and peaceful. The property staff is very welcoming and friendly. The rooms are amazing, so large for the price. The downstairs has a modern toilet, large comfortable bed, projector TV, rainfall shower, and a refrigerator. The upstairs has a great view and a nice place to have breakfast or play games at night. The outside has a swing, great view of the Great Wall, beautiful flowers, and a private hot tub! The afternoon tea was delightful, and the breakfast is western. There is a pool, but it was too cold to swim in the Autumn. 70 minutes from Beijing, 15 minutes from Badaling. Bring your champagne and go visit for the weekend.
It is a cosy hotel in an small alley which can not be accessed by public transport including taxi. You need to walk about 5 minutes to get taxi, 15 minutes to Badaling Great Wall South cableway and 30 minutes to North cableway. The room we picked is spacious and comfortable with 4 futons. However, it is quite messy in the toilet and shower because they are in the same area so the toilet bowl, toilet paper and floor are wet. The owner is nice and friendly. He can speak a little English and gave us good information for travelling around. There are many local Chinese restaurants nearby and 2 of them also have western food. If you have time, it is worth to go to Badaling wild life even the owner told us it is very small but it isn't. You can call taxi from DiDi to go there and please do not trust aunties or uncles at the entrance to hire them with private car because you have to pay extra 90 CYN for private car plus 300-600 CYN which aunties or uncles will charge you. The zoo entrance ticket already including sightseeing bus and if you are interested in something wilder, we recommend to pay a little extra for a cage van when you go inside the zoo which you can access uncaged lion area and real hunt.
