The peak birding season is from Oct to March. This is also the peak season for weddings. This hotel has a banquet and is surrounded by other banquets. Due to weddings the noise level is too high which lasts till 1 in the midnight. You just can't sleep at all because of too loud music. I tried this option because my regular hotels, Birder's Inn and Sunbird hotel both were full. I made the mistake of my life by choosing this. The hotel is run by a set of unprofessionals who instead of helping you will harass you on the other side. Breakfast is limited spread and the taste us also average. There are no amenities in the room and linen is also not clean. So if you are visiting Bharatpur, think many times before even thinking of this place
I will tell the PROs first. The location is good - barely a kilometre away from the main gate of the bird sanctuary. All the food items ordered by us in breakfast/dinner/evening snacks were very tasty. Our room ( Room No 107) was on the front side, road facing and the service was quick. Mr Jagjeet needs special mention for his helpful nature. Now, the CONS. As one of my predecessors has rightly mentioned, the door locks are extremely difficult to handle. Once we thought we have been locked up inside!! The property doesn't have its own parking space. Although we parked our vehicle right in front of the main Hotel entrance, found one of the back lights completely broken in the morning. The owner agreed to adjust only Rs 500/- from the final bill and that too after a lot of argument !!!
Thank you for making our stay wonderful at your property in Kadam Kunj, Bharatpur. This has been our 8th or 9th trip in your property with several friends and family! Rajesh ji and Rajendra ji made sure as always with nice rooms, impeccable hygiene, and excellent food and service made our visit again truly memorable. We deeply appreciate your hospitality and effort in ensuring we had a fantastic experience. We look forward to coming again soon.
On our weekend trip to fatehpur sikri and bharatpur bird century, we were looking for a property at a convenient location and we found the grand bars o a perfectly suited our need. A well maintained hotel with heritage touch, located on nh 21, got a modern interior in rooms, with a swimming pool offers 2/3 types of room type and you won't find missing the fun in choosing the one or the other type of rooms. Tried couple of starter dishes, food was just ok tastewise and preparation wise, can be better. Both veg and non-veg dishes are offered, alocohol is served. We got the room on first floor and view was nice with green fields and open sky surrounding the property. Due to proximity
The Raj Niwas Palace, Dholpur, is truly beautiful as a property. Dholpur is a very offbeat tourist destination but it is loaded with attractions, with my favourite being the National Chambal Sanctuary. We did love staying at the palace, which had a rich history and gorgeous architecture and gardens. The food was also great. However, we did have one unpleasant experience. We had booked both the private Chambal river safari by boat and the ravine safari by jeep for the two of us. The boat safari went extremely well, and we enjoyed watching the gharials, crocodiles, Indian skimmers, and other wildlife of the Chambal River. However, while planning the jeep safari, one of the hotel staff mentioned that we can start on it at 4:30 pm and end by 6:00 pm. I had, fortunately, gone through the website of the Raj Niwas Palace prior to booking and it was clearly mentioned there that the jeep safari was for five hours and also the sightseeing destinations during the safari were mentioned. They were also charging quite heftily for the same. So, after we spoke about what we saw on the website, they agreed and mentioned that we could do half the jeep safari in the evening and the remaining the next morning. Next day, while checking out, we were charged twice for the two jeep safaris on the bill. Again, I luckily noticed it, and told them to change it to one as our safaris were divided between morning and evening. So, please be very careful while going on these sightseeing tours at Raj Niwas Palace to ensure you get what you paid for.
