I am writing this review to praise James Thomas, one of the Homewood Suites by Hilton Boise, Idaho managers, who was amazing. He solved a number of problems for us, and really saved our stay. I can't say enough good things about James Thomas. He is an exceptional employee who is dedicated to providing top customer service, to solving whatever guest problems that arise, and working tirelessly on behalf of the guests. I have stayed at a variety of Hilton properties, and James Thomas is by far the best guest services Hilton employee that I have ever seen. Thank you, Bruce Hubbard Hilton Honors Member.
We have stay here before. Each time we come to Boise, we stay here. Buffet breakfast was great. People are great. Pool was great.. Best value for Hotel in Boise.. The found me room when I needed one. We only wanted to stay here. The Hotel is right by the river with a great walkway
We stayed here last yr & really liked it. So for our anniversary celebration this yr we decided to try the same place again. Well, this time was even better than last time! Our room was one of the cleanest hotel rooms of many we've stayed at over the yrs, which is very important. The setup of the room was great for us also. Lots of storage area if needed. Nice size fridge/freezer as well. Liked that checkout was at noon, instead of 11am. For night owls, that helps a lot! But what brought our hotel stay ABOVE & BEYOND was the staff helpfulness & friendliness! My hubby & I were greatly impressed! The lady that checked us in around 2:30pm, Sun, Oct 27th was not only friendly but had good humor too. So it was great starting our visit with a friendly smile & on a positive note. Then, that night when we got back from our dinner, we went to ask another question & that next young lady Chelsie was AMAZING! She took the time to have a friendly chat w/us. We could tell she really cared that our stay here was a very pleasant one! Meant so much to us as seniors (tho very youthful in heart!). You could really tell she was very passionate about her job. So the staff helped to clinch our final decision to make Home2Suites our semi-annual tradition for our stay-cations from now on! Thx so much for making our stay such a memorable one! See ya next time!
Overall I had a good stay. I stopped in for one night before flying out. The hotel provides a shuttle service which is very nice to have. The hotel seems to be an older hotel, maybe another brand at some sort but is very spread out. For the size of the hotel it felt like the fitness center was kind of small. It had an outdoor pool (closed for season) and hot tub which is a great way to end the day. The room was mostly clean, I did encounter some hair in the shower from a previous guest. All the staff I encountered were very friendly and nice!
The night I checked in my credit card was charged for the 3 night stay. The next day my credit card was charged an additional $943. They told me it was an error when I purchased something in their store for $10. They said they added too many zeros. But, I was also charged the $10 at the same time. We were told the night manager would handle it. They didn't. Then we were told by the owner that it would come off in 2 days. It didn't. It still shows pending 4 days later, but I don't trust them. I made a complaint with corporate. Nothing happened.
great hotel super friendly staff, lovely rooms super clean on arrival the welcome was brilliant it is near the airport so not in boise its self which is fine we didn't have to worry about the traffic there is no real restaurant near the hotel but there is somewhere very close that you can get food and previsions
Aaurorarose3022I was in town for medical appointments and tests that spanned over two days and I was treated with dignity and respect by all staff. The breakfast was wonderful and greatly appreciated and the night staff was absolutely fantastic. I will definitely be staying here again.
When booking this hotel, I did it out of convenience. It is very close to the airport. However, my non smoking room smelled of smoke. There were cigarette burns in the bedding, stains on the carpet. I am average height, and had to kneel to wash my hair as I was taller than the shower head. Not the ”Choice Hotel” quality you see on Tv.
This 76 is not ”soup to nuts” but is a good choice for the area. They have a foundation of amenities for people like truckers... specifically they have a great laundry room, areas to park rigs, rooms that are small, but reasonably appointed. I will describe two experiences that IMO cancel out and make this place a very good alternative for this area. They were doing door renavations and it was done half assed. Smoke filled the rooms, no barrier... Just a mess. Their justification was that each room took 20 minutes. It should have been done more professionally with a barrier put up. On the other hand, this place has a great pet policy, in an area that has multiple establishments that gouge pet owners... with fees of 20 bucks per a dog, per a night! * This place has a decent price point and the staff is pleasant to deal with. On the whole I love 76 establishments as a kind of ”hail mary” where, even if you didn't book with a 3rd party, you can get a room at a decent price that is clean. *Keep in mind that @20 dollers a pet, you are paying around 50-80 bucks a room! The pet fee should not be 1/3rd the price of the room! That would be like getting a Denny's meal for 45 bucks and having a 15 dollar tip automatically added.
