Both rooms I was given were ridden with mold. The bed smelled awful and was clearly saturated with mold spores. Unfortunately, I did not notice the smell until the third day because it seemed to have been masked by some disinfectant. I began experiencing symptoms of mold sickness (sore throat, coughing) after the first two nights, but I did not realize the symptoms were mold-related until I was finally able to identify the smell as mold two days later. The second room I was offered had lines of black mold surrounding the entire window frame, and the sill was virtually submerged
in a pool of moisture. I suspect the mold pervades the entire hotel as there is not sufficient dehumidification. The building is a health hazard to its staff and guests, and it should be closed down until the mold can be remediated and preventative measures are put in place.
