Holiday Inn Express & Suites Clarington - Bowmanville

My first time visit. Location, facilities, cleanliness, breakfast served, as nice as the reviews read from internet before I chose this hotel. Complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate is provided. Parking is good and nearby. Breakfast is great especially the hot pancake, but no signature cinnamon rolls, feeling a bit disappointed. Staff in reception and breakfast area is nice (with smiling faces) and efficient, responsibly cleaning up tables and even CHAIRS with disinfectant. Customers are also highly cooperative in returning used dishes and utensils, really amazing. Swimming pool and hot tub is clean, seeing a staff member replenishing towels and picking up a barrel of used ones. The hotel is not noisy, had a good sleep indeed. Overall, it is a very positive, valued for money stay.

We stayed in a 2 queen suite. Room was a nice size and clean. Staff were great. Kind and helpful. Breakfast had a lot of options and a large breakfast room with plenty of seats.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff were lovely, the hotel was clean and quiet, and we would stay there again.

The garbage in the bathroom wasn’t emptied from the previous client. There was only 1 cup when the room was booked for 2, there was nothing in the fridge not even a bottle of water

We slept really well as the beds were very comfortable and the air conditoning was very powerful. The free breakfast was better than expected.

The hotel is tucked back away from main rd ( Baseline rd) which is nice and quiet. Away from the busy traffic and shoppers. The first day and first room the hallway and door to the room was dirty. The mirror in the room was cleaned with a dirty cloth.The carpet has had its day, the bed mattress topper was lumpy. Room for improvement.lLuv the Dove products. The second room was clean and furniture good shape. It was what I expected from the reviews read before booking. Clean nice comfortable. Breakfast meh.PS I moved rooms due to very angry loud persons voice booming through my room. The Front desk was very accomdating.

Breakfast was awful. Everything had run out before 9 and they never replenished anything. Rooms heater was so loud it woke us up over and over. Terrible sleep and went hungry. Would not return.

The stuff was very very friendly! The hotel could use some updating. It is getting quite rundown. I have been staying at this hotel for a few years now, and although it’s clean, things need to be upgraded. The outside of the property is nice. The breakfast was excellent. And as I said before, the staff is fantastic!

The staff was great and check in was smooth. But after that it was not good at all. First of all it's 2023, everything charges via USB and this room had exactly ZERO USB charging ports. The only one was on the back of the TV and well it only works with the TV on so who wants to sleep with the TV on just to charge a phone or ipad. They have cheap alarm clocks that have USB ports if the owner spent a few bucks he could easily upgrade the rooms with this simple amenity. The windows only have sheer curtains so all the light from the street lights comes in. This place isn't worth $50 a night let alone $150... won't be back, ever.
