★★★★★ 今回、ネパール旅行で2泊3日宿泊しました。 最初に結論から言うと、「また泊まりたい」と思えるホテルです。 私はホテルを評価するとき、豪華さや設備だけでは判断しません。 そのホテルで働く人たちが、宿泊者とどのように向き合っているのか。 それを一番大切にしています。 Hotel Barahi Kathmanduは、その意味で非常に印象に残るホテルでした。 チェックインからチェックアウトまで、フロント、レストラン、ハウスキーピング、どのスタッフも自然な笑顔で接してくださり、「お客様だから」という形式的な接客ではなく、一人の人として接してくださっているように感じました。 ホテルの立地も良く、タメル地区へ徒歩でアクセスできる一方、ホテルへ戻ると街の喧騒を忘れられる落ち着いた空間があります。 観光にも滞在にも非常に便利なホテルです。 朝食も毎日楽しめました。 品数だけでなく、ネパール料理も用意されており、旅行者として現地の味を気軽に楽しめる点も良かったです。 一方で、私の宿泊した部屋では夜間に騒音があり、十分に休めない日がありました。 これは残念でした。 しかし、それ以上に印象に残ったのは、その後のホテルスタッフの対応です。 私の話を真剣に聞き、問題を軽く扱うことなく、一つ一つ確認してくださいました。 その姿勢から、「お客様の滞在をより良くしたい」という思いが伝わってきました。 私は旅行中、ホテルの設備だけでなく、そのホテルで働く人をよく観察しています。 どんなに立派な建物でも、人が良くなければ、そのホテルにはまた泊まりたいとは思いません。 Hotel Barahi Kathmanduは、人の温かさを感じられるホテルでした。 もちろん改善できる点もあります。 しかし、その改善点を受け止めようとする姿勢が、このホテルにはあります。 それが私にとって非常に大きな価値でした。 だから私は、ネパールへ再び訪れる機会があれば、もう一度このホテルを選びたいと思います。 最後に、滞在中に親切に対応してくださったフロントスタッフ、レストランスタッフ、ハウスキーピングの皆様へ感謝申し上げます。 皆様のおかげで、このホテルは単なる宿泊施設ではなく、ネパールでの思い出の一つになりました。 ありがとうございました。 This was my first stay at Hotel Barahi Kathmandu during my trip to Nepal, and I can honestly say that it is a hotel I would gladly return to. When I evaluate a hotel, I do not focus only on luxury, facilities, or location. What matters most to me is the people who work there and how they treat their guests. Hotel Barahi Kathmandu left a lasting impression because of its people. From check-in to check-out, every member of the front office, housekeeping, and restaurant staff treated me with genuine warmth and respect. Their hospitality never felt mechanical or scripted. Instead, I felt they treated me as a person rather than simply another guest. The hotel is also in an excellent location. It is close enough to Thamel to explore the city on foot, yet once you return to the hotel, it offers a calm and relaxing atmosphere away from the busy streets. Breakfast was another enjoyable part of my stay. There was a good variety of dishes, including local Nepali cuisine, which allowed me to experience authentic flavors without leaving the hotel. During my stay, I experienced a noise issue in my room during the night, which unfortunately affected my rest. Naturally, that was disappointing. However, what impressed me most was not the problem itself, but the way the staff responded afterward. They listened carefully, took my concern seriously, and never made me feel that my feedback was being ignored. I could genuinely feel that they wanted to improve my stay. Whenever I travel, I pay close attention not only to the hotel itself but also to the people behind it. Beautiful buildings can be found almost anywhere. What makes a hotel memorable is the people who create the experience. Hotel Barahi Kathmandu has that quality. Like any hotel, there is always room for improvement. What matters is the willingness to listen, learn, and improve. During my stay, I felt that attitude throughout the hotel. That is why I would happily choose Hotel Barahi Kathmandu again when I return to Nepal. 空港からの距離が近く、移動にとても便利だった。ホテルもきれいで,食事もおいしくまた泊まりたいと思った。

とにかくスタッフが素晴らしかったです。 フロントではウェルカムドリンクを出してくれ、朝食会場ではちょうどいいくらいの距離感でメニューの説明をしてくれました。五つ星ホテルにも泊まったことはありますが、バイキング形式でこのようなサービスをしてくれるホテルは初めてでとても素晴らしいと感じました。 大規模ホテルではないからこそ出来るサービスなのかな、とも思いました。部屋も清潔で快適に過ごせました。 一つだけ直してほしい点は、廊下の音がよく聞こえることです。エレベーター付近の部屋だったからかもしれません。私はそこまで音に敏感ではないので、カトマンズに来たらまた泊まりたいと思います。

素晴らしいホテルです。中心部に位置しながらも通りから少し奥まった場所にあるため、通りの騒音は全くありませんでした。廊下の音は結構聞こえましたが、部屋には耳栓が用意されていました。 とても清潔で、タオル、バスローブ、ベッドリネンはすべて真っ白でした。部屋に十分な量の水が用意されていたのも良かったです。 12階でパノラマビューを眺めながら朝食をいただきましたが、美しく、心地よかったです。朝食は全体的にまあまあで、コーヒーはまずまずでしたが、ペストリーは平均的でした。 スタッフは素晴らしく、とても丁寧で、歓迎してくれました。 伝統的なネパールスタイルを期待してこのホテルを予約しましたが、後悔はありませんでした。内装は美しく、快適でした。

朝食はバラエティに富んでいて、スイカジュースは最高に美味しい。ホテルはシンプルであるが部屋は広くベッドも大きいので快適である。 場所についてもバザールに近いので、買い物がし易い。バザールの店ではウール素材のフエルトでできた小物は何とも可愛しく、鍋敷き、スリッパ、クリスマスのオーナメントなど日本では手に入り難い品物も購入できる。

立地は良く、階下でショッピングも楽しめます。空港からもそれほど遠くありません（ネパールの交通機関はそれほど速くないので、空港までは約30分かかります）。この地域ではとても良いホテルで、中国のフォーシーズンズホテルや開元ホテルに匹敵します。

2泊しましたが、女性一人旅の私には安全とは思えませんでした。最初の夜11時頃、3、4人の男たちが叫んだり笑ったりしながらドアをノックしてきました。怖くなって受付に電話しました。電話線が電話機に接続されておらず、話すときは電話機をしっかりと握っていなければなりませんでした。恐ろしい経験でした。緊急時には電話さえも使えませんでした！受付係が男たちが落ち着くまで30分もかかりました。翌朝、受付係は男たちが立ち去ったと私に話しましたが、夕方、ホテルで彼らを見ました。安全だとは感じませんでした。また、男たちは大声で叫んでいました。それでも私はそこで眠ることができず、滞在した2晩ずっと目が覚めていて、安全だとは感じませんでした。場所は清潔でした。立地は良かったです。

大変リーズナブルで、タメル地区のどこにでも歩いていける場所にあり、非常に助かった。 着いてすぐにウェルカムドリンクをいただけたのも嬉しい。 しかしエアコンがない、お湯は一切出ないなど、一昔前の仕様。12月末に宿泊したが、冬季は絶対避けたほうが良い。 布団も薄めで、夜間かなり寒く体調を崩しそうだ。 だが夏季であればまだなんとかなりそうだ。扇風機のようなものはなかったのと、建て付けはあまり良くないので蚊の対策は必須。

I had a wonderful experience staying at Funky Monkey Hotel Hostel and Apartment in Thamel, Kathmandu. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and comfortable. The location is absolutely fantastic—right in the heart of Thamel, with restaurants, cafés, shops, bars, nightlife, and everything you need just a short walk away. At the same time, the property itself has a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, which made it a great place to come back to after exploring Kathmandu. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The bed was comfortable, the room had good Wi-Fi and air conditioning, and having a private bathroom was very convenient. Everything was arranged in a simple but practical way, making the room feel like a good place to relax after a busy day of sightseeing. What really made my stay special was the staff and hospitality. Everyone was friendly, polite, welcoming, and always ready to help whenever I needed something. They greeted me with a smile and made me feel more like a welcomed guest than just another customer. Their helpful attitude and warm Nepali hospitality made a big difference to my overall experience. I also really enjoyed the rooftop area. It is a great place to sit, relax, have a drink, meet other travelers, and enjoy the lively atmosphere of Thamel. If you are traveling alone, with friends, or as a couple, I think the rooftop is one of the nicest places to spend some time in the evening. Another thing I appreciated was the overall value for money. You get a great location, comfortable accommodation, helpful staff, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and a welcoming atmosphere without paying luxury-hotel prices. For travelers who want to explore Kathmandu and stay somewhere convenient, comfortable, and social, this is a very good choice. I would definitely recommend Funky Monkey Hotel Hostel and Apartment to anyone visiting Kathmandu, especially backpackers, couples, solo travelers, families, and people looking for a convenient place to stay in Thamel.
