Our daughter booked us this hotel as part of a 3 night trip to Budapest as a Christmas gift. After visiting Budapest herself, she thought we’d love it so booked us the trip. I don’t normally write reviews, but I thought the hotel had been served an injustice with lots of the other reviews we’d read. We’d read lots that said it was in an awful and unsafe area. The hotel is on a side street, in a city away from the centre, no different to any side street in a city we’d seen before. We saw one homeless person in a doorway, and sometimes people gathered chatting outside the Spar shop at the top of the road, and the other shops…not much of a problem. We didn’t feel unsafe or find the street to be noisy. You are a little bit out of the centre, but the bus stop and metro are conveniently located just around the corner. We used the bus which was very cheap, or free, as sometimes we were just waved on. Once inside our room we heard very little noise, from within the hotel itself, or from the road outside…only the occasional siren. The towels and sheet’s were good, and the room clean, pillows also nice quality and extras in the wardrobe. Room a comfortable temperature. The beds are low to the ground, and the mattresses firmer than we are used to, but after a 12 hour day sightseeing, and a few cocktails/beers we slept reasonably well. Little ******s with the room, a kettle with tea/coffee making facilities would have been nice for a morning cuppa before heading out. There is a small bar in the reception area where you could get coffee though, and plenty of cafes on the main street. The hairdryer overheated quite quickly and cut out. But only minor issues. The staff were not particularly chatty (us Brits love a chat!) however, helpful and courteous when needed. All in all a good stay and a good base to explore…what do you do from a hotel room? For us to sleep and shower 🤷🏻♀️ Budapest is an amazing city, so much to see and do, we absolutely loved exploring, enjoy!
Stayed 1 night here during our Eastern Europe road trip. The hotel is quite dated and need some refurbishments. Too many stains on the carpet and furnitures in the room. Other than that, the rooms have good facilities like refrigerator, electric kettle to boil water, air conditioner and wardrobe. The room is spacious and clean. Location wise, it’s located in the city center and close to shops and many eateries. Quite nearby to some popular tourist attractions too. The staff are friendly and helpful. We also like the buffet breakfast which offer many varieties and tasty too.

ibis Budapest Stadium is ideally situated in Budapests ninth district. Thanks to our location, we are well connected and getting to any of the city top attractions by bus, coach or rail is a breeze. Groupama Arena and MVM Dome are right on our doorstep, and Grand Market Hall, Gellert Thermal Bath and St Stephens Basilica are all less than 5km away. After exploring the city, return to your room and take advantage of our rooftop bar.
ゲゲストThe airport shuttle bus 100E drops only a few minutes walk away from the hostel. (30mins travel) Very useful. There is a socket and reading light next to each bed and I had a change of bedding on my second day. I feel that this is due to there being no bed bookings and you choose your own, so they don't know which bed is still in use. There's a danger you may lose your bed if you don't leave things on it. There was a shared bathroom with a toilet in it and a locker provided in the room too. I brought my own towel as this was not provided. There is shower gel provided in the shower. A really central hostel, though they're is a hub of bars directly opposite, so they're is a lot of noise until very late which means I had disrupted sleep both nights. Plenty of takeaway places close for quick bites to eat and lots of café spots close too. This hostel is also very close to get to the main sights and starts of walking tours also if you'd be doing this too.
ゲゲストI am coming from Canada. I'm extremely frustrated with the hotel and feel compelled to share my experience. The hotel consists of three buildings, none of which are any better than the others. The entrance is dark and the connections between the buildings feel like a maze of catacombs. It's a complete nightmare trying to find your room. Now let's talk about the rooms. They are downright filthy, and don't even think about finding any electrical appliances. Each room supposedly has a minimum of three single beds, but forget about any comfort because there are no pillow tops provided. Can you believe it? To make matters worse, we were completely tricked by that Turkish Holiday Website, ”tatilbudur.com.” They led us to this horrendous place that is worse than any hostel I've ever stayed in. I'm beyond disappointed with this hotel. The lack of cleanliness, basic amenities, and the overall experience is simply unacceptable. They need to seriously step up their game and make significant improvements.
