Spent 4 nights at playa Grande and it exceeded expectations. Rooms were very spacious with a view of the ocean. The location was also perfect being walking distance to the Marina/restaurants/nightlife. Will be returning again!

Love this resort , everything is within walking distance as well as great entertainment for families

This is the second stay we have had at Playa Grande. We absolutely love it here. Many great activities for the family but also plenty of fun just for adults. Great customer service all around. The only dislike is the time share sharks that accost you as soon as you are done checking in. However, that seems to be par for the course at any resort in the area.

Playa Grande was a perfect, family friendly resort for our three generation family. The price was reasonable; we had adjoining rooms with our daughter and her family with room to move around for a price that didn’t break the bank. The grounds were lovely and exceptionally well maintained and clean, the pools were great, with plenty of lounges and towels, and the pool service menu was incredible. Excellent sushi, guacamole, fries, poke, and all easy to eat right there by the pool. The drink menu was varied as well and the servers were always nearby. Being near the marina and town was such an advantage as it was easy to grab a taxi from the resort, or walk a short way to grab a bus. Walking was not out of the question either, and we always felt safe. We felt as if we chose the right place to stay for our week long family Cabo trip.

what I found most uncomfortable was the elevated cost of everything, I felt that we were expected to over pay everyone for everything, it seemed all costs were over the top and I did not do any extra excursions eat.

The location was perfect: on the beach, quiet, walking distance to town. The view from the room and balcony was stunning. We had a presidential suite, which was huge, even for five people. One bedroom had two beds, the primary bedroom had a large king size bed, and the living room had two pull-out beds. The room and property were impeccably clean. The service was incredible, and the staff was friendly. The room was cold at night, and there is no heating, so we turned off the air conditioning. The problem is that the primary bathroom's ventilation brought in a stench (smelled like sewage and sea water) when the air conditioning was off. It helped to keep the window and balcony door open, but we had to close them at night to prevent insects from coming in. This is not acceptable for this type of property. The food and drink were subpar. The margaritas used cheap tequila that was too strong. Daquiris were almost tasteless. The cheese in the quesadilla and pizza was so salty that we could hardly eat more that a bite - it was as if someone had poured salt onto them. Bacon was also salty. The omelettes and sausage were good at breakfast. We didn't do all-inclusive, thankfully, and ate dinners and some lunches off property.

From the attentive, friendly staff to the comfortable large rooms with kitchens, we highly recommend Playa Grande as the best value and location in Cabo. We’ll be back.

The hotel was nice. We stayed on the ridge with offers extra privacy and a view of the ocean and the harbor. They have many activities. The rooms were nice but the twin hideaway was too small for an adult to sleep on. The ridge pool was very private and not crowded. The other pools were more open and had a lot of kids. We spent our time at the ridge pool. The hotel is walking distance to the marina and beach just north of the marina. The marina is noisy but if you live in a city you won't notice the noise. The staff was great and the New Year's Party was really fun and well planned. Food is excellent and the resort has something for everyone. The staff is helpful and responsive.
