Most charming place on Earth! With THE NICEST HOSTS, Eric and Agnes. I can't say enough good about the entire stay.

Beautiful boutique hotel -- the most lovely garden (with a small pool). Food is excellent. Mazan is a cinematic village/small town on a small hill in Provence, well placed for sightseeing too. (Rent a smaller car -- Mazan's streets are tight.) Bed very comfortable, view superb, spacious elegant bathroom. We loved the hosts -- breakfast was super, but I also recommend eating there for dinner -- really nice. We went as a couple, but two other couples joined us -- really memorable.

I cannot adequately express how happy I was to stay at Le Jardin. This hotel is a jewel in a lovely, quiet village. Eric and Agnes are warm and generous hosts which, after a long journey from New York, means so much. The gardens, reception room, and library are beautiful. My room faced the mountain and was large and very comfortable, as was the bathroom (with excellent shower). I had to take a picture of the breakfast because it was quite literally the breakfast of my dreams: good coffee, warm milk, fresh bread and croissant, and homemade jam. It’s rare to find a place so good on so many levels, from the welcome on arrival to the farewell at the end. A lovely old house, sympathetically restored with a lovely room and the best breakfast you will ever have. The hosts are charming and genuinely friendly, and have an extensive knowledge of the locality. If I could wave my magic wand, I’d ask them to re-consider their ban on accepting food in rooms and garden - Mazan is a small village with limited restaurants, and lunch facilities are very limited, so the ability to bring home a baguette would be welcome. Also: if you have accessibility issues check before booking, there’s no lift and rooms at the top of the house require climbing a steep and difficult spiral staircase. That is not to detract from what is a brilliant place to stay, and just about the best place we’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting.

The Jardin de Mazan is an exquisite ancient building furnished in a chic French style with luxury linens in the heart of Mazan. Eric and Agnes are outstanding hosts who warmly welcome you into their home and are completely committed to ensuring that your stay is the best it could be. Their English is excellent and their recommendations for restaurants and cycle routes were first rate. We cannot praise Le Jardin de Mazan highly enough.

Agnes and Eric were phenomenal hosts…..we happened on Le Jardin by accident and were very happy with the quality of our stay….already talking about how we can return in future. Room and grounds were amazing….hosts made you truly feel you are not simply booking accommodation but sharing their home.

If you are looking for an Oasis of calm with an authentic Provençal feeling then this is the place to stay. But that’s not all. Eric and Agnes are exceptional hosts when it comes to customer service. They really know how to add that special touch, which makes the difference between a good stay and a wonderful stay, and gives you that ‘home from home’ feeling. Highlights; The delicious breakfasts with homemade jams & lavender honey, the stunning garden and heated pool, the beautiful and spotlessly clean rooms, the personal advice on where to go and what to see. I could go on. Thank you Eric and Agnes for making our stay so special. And a big hug to Nestor the dog, who gave us so much love when we were missing our own dogs so much. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.

What a pleasure it has been to spend a few days in the company of Agnus and Erich. Friendly, helpful and fantastic hosts. The property is a testament to their hardwork and great taste. Everything about the experiwnce works beautifully, especially Erichs " special " scrambled eggs.

A perfect stay, Eric and Agnès couldn’t do enough for us. The hotel is in a beautifully restored medieval building with many period features. The garden is a peaceful refuge in the heart of the town, with a small but stylish heated outdoor pool. Eric cooked one night and it was possibly the nicest meal I’ve ever had. 10/10 would recommend to anyone visiting the area.
