アルキミア オテル ブティック(Hotel Alquimia Cadiz)

This was a great find. If we ever return to Cádiz we would stay here again.

Free parking, spacious clean room, very courteous staff, free water. Beautiful small city reminds me of San Juan, Puerto Rico.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the hotel. We arrived after midnight on the first evening, the hotel sent us instructions for access and everything was perfect. Our room was big clean and comfortable. The reception staff were so helpful. The roof top bar a delight for pre dinner drinks. It is easy to access the sites of cadiz by foot from the hotel. We would definitely come back to Cadiz and the hotel.

The hotel and particularly the rooms are individual and full of character. It is in the old part of Cadiz close to lovely plazas and a very short stroll to the sea. Whilst breakfast is not normally available cafes and a small supermarket are very close by.

We visited as two couples for a three day break. The staff were lovely, the hotel authentic, comfortable with a great location close to a lovely square (for breakfast), walking the sea wall and picking up the open top bus. Roof top bar open on the weekends and a bonus

It wasn't easy finding an affordable place to stay for a stopover on our way to the Costa de la Luz. We ended up at the Alquimia. It was ok but a bit pricey for what it had to offer. The room was spacious and the beds ok. The location is nice, in the old town, we walked about 15 minutes from train station. We were looking forward to a drink on the terrasse but it was closed as it was a Monday, but there were several options nearby. We did not have breakfast here, I don't know if is offered. Altogether ok.

This is the second time we have stayed in Hotel Alquemia and were given a very warm welcome by Jose and Natalia Set in a restored XVIII century building, Hotel Alquimia is right in the centre of historic Cadiz. Its 50 meters from the beautiful Plaza Mina where we used to go for both breakfast (Choice of cafes in the square) and evening drinks. At the other end of the street – less than 50 meters walk is the sea and the start of wonderful walk around old Cadiz. Our bedroom was fantastic. Enormous – and had wonderful friezes on the walls. The staff are wonderful – so friendly and helpful I don’t think you could do better ….. and its great value. Jose and Natalia …… Manolo and I look forward to coming back to Hotel Alquemia.

So, being the snobby gits we are we would never look at a, 2 star, establishment. So, what happened? We got drawn in for whatever reason and it was bloody, bloody fabulous. We could go around and "Nit Pick" but it would just make us look a stupid as the couple we watched nit picking. The welcome, spot on. The room in its entirety, spot on . The people. Warm, welcoming and very, very helpful. A, 2Star place yes, with 4Star service. Thank you.

A very good hostel which is well located Warm welcome thanks to very friendly guests, no noise, big room (I got the 101), big and efficient shower, Car park close to it - just think to order your breakfast the day before
