ザ ベイウッド ベッド & ブレックファスト(The Baywood Bed & Breakfast)

We had a great time. Our host was very knowledgeable about the area, with good advice for places to explore and restaurants for dinner. Good history info for the area as well.

This stay was wonderful. The host was informative and friendly and the location on the Chesapeake Bay was beautiful with an amazing private beach. This is a place for a quiet stay as Cape Charles is about 15 minutes north. The room was comfy and breakfast was great.

Stay has been amazing. Room looks right out over the bay. Everything has been perfect.

Had a great three-night stay at Baywood. The property is secluded in woods, but also right by the water. The beach is lovely, and you can wade out pretty far without getting past your chest. Breakfast was always tasty, and coffee was always ready outside the door by 6:30. There are a few small drawbacks -- no food or drink available on site after breakfast (i.e. the kitchen is closed), meaning you have to drive elsewhere if you want anything to eat or drink (incl. coffee). There were also a few things in need of repair in the property, such as a squealing shower head. But all in all, Baywood is a great, private getaway for a couple -- close enough to Cape Charles for some daily activity, but remote enough to feel like you have the whole Chesapeake Bay to yourself.

The property was hidden behind treed field and away from the highway, given it a mysterious feel. We received a warm welcome from the proprietor who showed us around. It was very clean and very well kept and the back faced the bay. The room we stayed in was well appointed and clean. Breakfast was prepared by the proprietor and it was excellent. We will go again.

Enjoyed sitting in backyard watching beautiful sunset. Room was very nice. Host was very nice and accommodating. Made us muffins and coffee to go since we were leaving early in the am.

It was private and homey! The owner Mike was very helpful in telling us about places that we could go to! The breakfast was amazing!

Beautiful beach front property, the decoration of the house is warm and cozy. The owner is very friendly and considerate. The breakfast was nicely presented and also delicious.

The hosts are very gracious and accommodating. The house is lovely with comfortable shared spaces on the first floor and four bedrooms on the second. Ours is one of two that have a lovely view of the Chesapeake Bay. We opened the glass door to our private porch and had a gentle breeze of fresh air all night (this is in May). The house is nestled in the woods so it is very private with no neighbors in sight or sound.
