ミナレート(Minareto)

A resort type hotel in form of brick bungalow in Europe. It comes with a private pier where you could board on a comfortable boat going to Ortigia (the old town) in half an hour. The landscape there looks so gorgeous that anyone who lives in this hotel should miss it. It also has a private beach which can be accessed through a private tunnel which is quite interesting. Overall, a very beautiful resort overlooking the ortigia with very friendly services and 5-star facilities.

I would say it is one of the top hotels in Siracusa, location is about 15min ride from ortigia island but the hotel it self is great private beaches great service, very quiet and spacious. Regretted to only stay one night. Recommended.

My family and I attempted to stay at Hotel Minareto with high hopes for a luxurious vacation. We booked a specific villa that was advertised to include water views, a private pool, and two bedrooms with three bathrooms—perfect for my wife, two kids, and me. We had just traveled from Four Season Taormina where we had a fantastic stay. Initially, everything seemed fine upon arrival. However, our evening took a dreadful turn when our room became infested with thousands of bugs. The infestation was severe, with bugs covering our bed, floors, and even filling the bathtub. When we called the hotel staff, they said they had never seen anything like it before. The hotel moved us to another room that was only one bedroom, no pool, no water views - but it was clean (no bugs). However, this was not what we booked so we left the following morning. Due to the unacceptable conditions, we had no choice but to leave the hotel early the next morning. We incurred significant additional expenses, including thousands of dollars to book another hotel in Rome for the remaining nights and change our flights to leave Italy ahead of schedule. Following up with them, they refused to refund our money. We paid for 3 nights in a certain villa, but they provided 1 night in a different, smaller room and kept the money for the other two nights where we left and stay in another hotel in rome. 1. I would never go back to a hotel with a serious bug issue 2. But even worse, not refunding our money and taking money for 2 nights we didnt even stay in the hotel. This is not good business. Hence, why I am writing this review.

We had our wedding reception at Minareto and it was just fabulous. The location is wonderful, with great views of Ortigia at sunset and a spacious terrace to host our aperitivo. The restaurant for the main was equally great and well decorated, the food was delicious, and most of our ~110 guests were satisfied! A little hiccup was the second dish being quite dry and less seasoned compared to what we tasted a few months before when wedding, and the fact that the music needs to be turned off at midnight. The staff has been very kind throughout - Valentina Consiglio, our event manager, is very professional, kind and knowledgeable and was extremely helpful during the preparation phases, as well as on the wedding day. I would definitely recommend the place for a wedding!

I stayed at the Minarerto for a wedding - the property and staff are nice- but they are over priced and change us for coffee that was in our room. When we asked about the charge they said it was on the menu in the room and coffee is only free in suites and villas. I travel a lot and stayed in a l to of resort I have never been changed for coffee that was in the room. I reviewed the menu before I used anything - there was nothing listed for coffee or even the small water that was out on the table. The only things listed were in the mini fridge (that included a large bottle of water for 5 euros) and snacks. There was on mention of the small water for 3 euros and coffee for 15 euros. I really don't have an issue with the water even thought it was not listed as this is normally a changeable item but not the coffee. Said that such a nice place will nickel and dime you for everything as simple as coffee because we did not book a Villa or suite. The food is over priced and just average as with most resorts - don't eat the eggs at breakfast they are nasty.

Yes, the resort is pretty and the rooms are nice. The dinner was absolutely terrible. For ~30 euro you receive 8 rigatoni noodles. I have never left a meal for that price being more hungry than when I arrived. This is sad and embarrassing given what this “resort” claims to be. If you choose to stay here, DO NOT EAT HERE.

We had a very pleasant week in this beautiful hotel. We really felt welcome from the very first minute. We were impressed by the warm atmosphere in the hotel. The service was very good in the front desk, restaurant and all around. Also the super clean environment and the beautifully and elegantly designed and maintained garden made a great impression on us. The hotel has a taxi and watertaxi service. The hotel is in a remote location, so renting a car is a good idea.

I had a very good service from staffs, reception, friendly staff at breakfast and delicious foods. Good job from House keeping and well done job from Gardener. I joined a group of yoga. The great view at the terrace looked over amazing sea view.

Really sad bad bad housekeeping average dinner breakfast was good but service was slow Coffee was burnt Took an hour to get our luggage from the room 1 hour to check out On complaint they were not apologetic at all The place location is amazing but I wish they put in more effort
