Hotel was as expected and staff was better than good. ********** ******. I booked the hotel and showed up about half an hour later. Got a confirming e-mail. When I arrived the hotel had no record of my reservation. They would not book me. I called the very laughable ********** “customer service “ line and was told basically that my doing so was futile. I tried to cancel the booking but H.C said they had no record of my booking - despite the confirming e-mail. When I entered the 15 digit file number, the recording said there was no such number. I was beyond frustrated. Have you ever thought what you’d do if H.C screws up? I didn’t - and it’d not pretty. The hotel staff booked me anyway. 1. Always do “pay at property “ and not pay now 2. From now on I’ll look at H.C for rates and availability and then book with property directly.
