The front desk people didn't know a lot of English, so get the translators ready. The room was spacious, neat and clean, with decent WiFi. Not luxurious by any means, but definitely comfortable enough, with the added bonus of a full-sized bath. No CGTN, so the TV is all Chinese with the exception of the movies. On my floor they had a communal area with table seating, microwave and coffee making facilities IIRC. Coffee mix and kettle is also in your room.
It's close to the metro and near numerous shops and restaurants. The breakfast stall behind the bus stop is great for a decent hot, meat-filled flat roll for 6 RMB. Spitting distance from the zoo, too, it's a short ride to the center of the city and all the pretty lights. Pretty good value
